Sizani had been moving to the beat for longer than she knew. She'd lost track of time and where she was at. The music was moving her and she got lost in the moment. Before she knew what was happening, she'd bumped into someone on the dance floor. Sizzy opened her eyes and looked up at the cage dancers on the celling and then to whoever she'd managed to dance into. "Sorry, I kind of got lost in the beat." She giggled softly and hoped the other person would be understanding.

the ferris wheel loomed over the festivities, twisting in a dizzy, hypnotic pattern. why did the very idea of this contraption send a shiver down her spine? it wasn't like it could kill her again. it was just metal and mechanics. a brightly illuminated brow furrowed into dark concentration while she stared down the machine. was it foolish to even admit something so sincerely trivial and whimsical scared her? victoria pursed her lips, chewing on a thought. "oh, it's a cage." she murmured mostly to herself. "what a nightmare."

Sizzy had been buzzing all night. The energy of the festival was making her brain ring as well as her ears and she could feel the electric beats pulsing through her entire body. Everything was lit up and there was so much to see. There was a kind of magic here all in it's own. A different kind of magic than what she could shoot from her fingertips. As she walked along, mindlessly shoving bits of cotton candy into her mouth, Sizzy noticed a woman staring up at the Ferris Wheel with fear. It didn't seem like the typical fear of heights fear either, this was something different. She smiled softly, "They aren't really all that scary you know." Her voice twinkled as she spoke.

The Rubicund was not a place he frequented often. Even at his age he could only recall entering the club a handful of times before. He had almost lost his bearings twice coming back from the bar with half a glass filled with some Italian vintage wine, that he was sure he could not pronounce without butchering it entirely, in his hand. Once he had found an unoccupied booth a little ways from the dancefloor, he parked himself there and sipped slowly so as not to have to move again any time soon, and watched as the dancers enjoyed their evening of revelry.

He supposed he should make more of an effort to mingle, but he mused that the night was still young and whilst he enjoyed socialising in general, he found it a little grating attempting to hold a conversation by shouting into another's ear. At least from where he sat he was far enough away from the speakers to hear his own thoughts clearly, and relax into the festivities surrounding him.

When he felt a presence slide into the booth with him, his lips twitched upwards at the corners behind his wine glass. "Were you seeking my company, or a moment to rest your feet?"

Sizzy had been dancing for an hour at least and her feet were starting to throb. She needed to sit immediately. She spotted her brother sitting in a booth alone and decided to slip in and see how he was doing. "Maybe a little bit of both." She said when he asked. "My feet are kind of killing me. I've been jumping around to the... what do the kids call it these days? Sick beat?" She laughed and slipped her shoes off under the table so she could rub the bottom of her feet a bit. "Are you having a blast?"

THE MUSIC ROLLED OVER LEILA IN WAVES, her eyes roving the throngs of warm bodies and clinking glasses in search of a familiar face. In the weeks since her conversation with Chris, she had spent much of her free time considering the feasibility of enchanted blood. She possessed an expert command of blood magic and understood blessing magic well enough, but enchanting multiple donation bags— and keeping the blood stable long enough to remain useful on a hospital shelf— would require an extra step. What if, instead, she treated the blood like a potion?

The question had sent her back to her grandmother's lessons. How calendula petals could be crushed into a salve to treat bruises, and yarrow used to staunch bleeding. Mageshroom, though finicky, could make any potion that much more potent — and she knew someone who might be able to help.

Leila caught sight of Sizani across the room, half-shadowed near a cluster of laughing partygoers. She had been the first person she met upon arriving in Vievecor, turning up on the doorstep of the Dumisani Coven and expressing her desire to join them. She’d still gone by Líadan then, and around the Dumisani headquarters she still did.

She threaded through the crowd without hesitation this time, slipping past bodies and conversations until she was close enough to speak without needing to raise her voice.

“Just the person I’m after,” Leila said, a smile spreading across her lips. “Do you mind if I join you?”

Sizani was standing in a dark crowd surrounded by bodies. She swayed to the music and moved her body to the beat. The music was not her vibe at all. She actually didn't like it much at all. The screaming was a bit too much. The industrial beats were good though. She could feel the bass in chest and it was nice to move to. Great to jump to. What she was doing couldn't really be considered dancing. It was jumping. It reminded her of the raves in the 90s. From across the heated mass of moving bodies Sizzy could see a familiar face and her eyes lit up. She smiled wide and sighed in relief at the opportunity to grab a drink. "Hey! I was hoping to see you here." Her voice was light and airy. "Not at all. Never. But I do need to get a drink. I've been hopping around over here for quite a bit." She giggled and looked around for anywhere they might be able to find a refreshment.

Sizani Dumisani is Sipho Dumisani's younger sister and has been the co-leader of the Dumisani coven for almost 20 years. She took on the role of coven leader alongside her brother at his behest. Before taking on the role of coven leader, Sizani lived a carefree life and enjoyed spending most of her time with the elves of Vievecor. The last 20 years has allowed her to see herself and her responsibilities to her coven from a different point of view. She is one of the few elders who advocates for more understanding between the different species, but her words are often met with derision. Sizani is excellent at body centre magic with a preference for plant and animal magic.
