SIBITO JOBE KUNDA YOUTH'S ASSOCIATION.
INTRODUCTIONS:
Sibito Jobe Kunda Youth's Association is a charitable organization in Sibito Village, Kiang Central District, Lower River Region, The Gambia.
The organization was formed by the youth's of Sibito Village , males and females.
The village consist people whose livelihood deepens entirely on subsistence farming.
It has a population about 3000 people. This organization came into existence with the aims of community development and it was formed in 2017. The intention includes training of community members to enable them to plan, implement and try to sustain community development projects.
People of this community being poor are therefore bound to face various challenges that affects the people livelihood. The issues are numerous but the most pressing needs are as follows: (1)INADEQUATE POTABLE WATER.
(2)POOR HEALTH FACILITIES.
(3)POOR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM
(4)INADEQUATE FARM INPUTS AND IMPLEMENTS.
(5)LACK OF ENOUGH FOOD AND CLOTHING.
These issues surfaced out a Participatory rural appraisal (PRA ) exercise was conducted by members of Sibito Jobe Kunda Youth's Association group and some village elders.
During problem rankings, it appeared that the group (kafo) Sibito Jobe Kunda Youth's Association intends found out it necessary to try and act by consulting with interested development partners to address the issues. The group is therefore appealing to any interested institution to participate in any of the areas of concern to address.
