Fenrir’s children do not use ‘Fenrirson/dottir’ as a patronymic. The correct patronymic is Hróðvitnisson/dottir, using Hróðvitnir as a derivative, as cited several times throughout both the Poetic and Prose Edda. ‘Fenrir’ is a shortened version of the name ‘Fenrisúlfr’, and so it makes little sense for ‘Fenrir’ to be used as a full, legal, patronymic-based surname.
