I heard Dean is actually pretty smart in the books, do u think they will incorporate that in the show?

Yeah, he is actually smart and also so kind/gentle too. Don’t wanna spoil the book ‘cause idk what they’ll add to the show in terms of his future, but he is also reaaaally good with kids.

There’s even a scene in the book (not spoiling much) that Allie calls him out on being smart. She even adds something of like “it looks like you go out of your way to make everyone believe you’re a dummy.” and it’s so cute seeing her pull that side of him out, showing that he doesn’t need to ooooonly be the “fun guy”.

I think the show already gave us a bit of that with the tour scene in NY, like he’s pulling this whole act and she sees right past and asks what he would be doing if no one was there ‘cause it’s her and he can be himself with her… then it cuts to them playing chess. I think it was a way for the producers to say “look he is hot and fun but he is also secretly smart.”

Seeing at it seems to be going to a main couple storyline per season, I’ll be very interested to see how they mange that, and how much Belmont and Ella are in season 2. Bridgerton is shockingly poor at bringing back their past couples so hopefully Amazon can do better

Yeah, a couple per season is basically what happens in the books too so it makes sense for the show but they already made a huge move to differ from Bridgerton by adding bits of the next main couple throughout the previous season.

And also different from bridgerton (I’ve read the books too) the off campus books keep showing the previous couple, like Hannah and Garrett are still reeeeelly there throughout all the books, Hannah still lives with Allie, Garrett still lives with the boys so like it would be impossible to just not show them anymore. Especially considering that the last book - The Legacy - it’s all of the four couples.

And Louisa Levy already gave interviews saying that she understands how important it is for the previous characters to stay in the storyline and for us to keep seeing them. I feel like she understands the characters and how they are a found family for life. Idk what it is but I genuinely trust this woman to do us good you know? I think we are in good hands hahah
