Hello fellow Avatar fans *takes off her fancy hat* since this franchise has its HUMONGUS grip around me I have decided to make a FIRST art of 2026 (happy new year btw!!!) about my sona Saavani meeting Varang for the first time. Now I normally ship Vani with Ronal cuz Ronaavi is UGHH I love them, my comfort ship, but I had this idea for canon!avatar Saavani AND Varang ship!! (There’s my other au with Ronaavi being leaders of the clan and having a happy life but it’s not about it) Now, it’s still under development but I’m kinda invested in their dynamic so yeah OMG SKARAŚ STOP TALKING SO MUCH!!
Yup. It’s them. It’s this scene where Varang and Quaritch arrive at the Metkayina village to take TORUKMAKTO JAKESULLY!!
Well, if anybody is interested in them, I can share you some details about this developing story….
• So just you guys know, Saavani is kind of a Mary Sue (maybe even VERY) cuz yeah she’s like much older version of Kiri in terms of her relationship with Eywa AND she’s also a mighty warrior of the clan (soulmates with Ronal hehe). She’s STRONG, like very strong. If it wasn’t for her overconfidence she could easily fold Quaritch on that final fight in TWOW (hence the scar on her nose)
• NOW having this behind us, let’s talk business - idk how it works but I hc Varang to see visions in the fire. So one day, when she was performing a ritual, she saw Saavani in the flames. Varang could feel her strength and knew that she would be the source of her mighty power. BUT sadly she didn’t have enough numbers to raid Metkayina village so she was like " Man… maybe someday >:( "
• time went by, she saw more visions about Saavani and grew impatient and then Quaritch arrives yippeee! He gives her guns, they get kinda freaky and uhhh yeah he promises her to get Vani for her pleasure (she REALLY wants her blood/heart)
• so yeah time skip they arrive at the village and BANG they meet. Varang is like DAMN ineedher (heart mostly, but yk) and they have a little chat (also with Quaritch cuz he kinda bitter about almost loosing to her in 1v1). And then they do a little silly billy mistake with threatening Ronal and Saavani is like " Ladies. Gentlemen. If you do anything to her I will end you all. " and they’re like "Lmaooooo you won’t" and to assert dominance she catches Varang off guard and now VANI threatens to do something to her. Before things escalate (badly) Jake steps in and gets caught. Nice 👍
• so they leave and Varang is like. " Oh yeah, she’s close to Eywa. I need to ruin her. Make her my pawn. " and so the crazy obsession begins!! I’ve been also thinking about final fight between them - only Saavani vs Varang talking about grief, loss, Eywa, anger and what not and they beat the SHIT out of themselves but Saavani takes the upper hand and spares her under one condition - if Varang shows up again to threaten the reef people, she will end her WITHOUT A DOUBT. Oh and yeah did I mention that that whole fight would have TENSION?? all kinds of it 👁️👁️
So yeah. Um. That’s it for now!!! 👉👈 I’m having so much fun with creating this weird ship! :DDD
