I’ve always jokingly said, “I’m better in person…”, when writing profiles or whatever and while this is probably true for most people, it is especially so for me, but here I am, with pen in hand and in prison, so I will try to give you a real dose of me and hope it translates well. First of all, I’m not your average con or person for that matter, but then again, who is and what is “normal”? I’m a-typical in that I defy many of the stereotypes and criteria that would dictate my incarceration. I come from an unbroken, fairly well adjusted and tight knit family circle. i am for sure the black sheep though. I’m educated and capable, but the duality of my personality has at times confused my direction in life, muddied up my values and made the lines I’ve chosen to walk blurry at times. While I’ve engaged in drug trafficking and enjoyed the fruits of that labor to great extent, I understand the party is over and that “Laissez Faire” attitude in life I’ve chosen to live under is no longer viable. I’m capable of so much more and I want that for myself and the people in my life. It’s time to start living in reality, in the present moment and time to start treating the body and mind that I’ve been blessed with like the temple that it is.
That being said, the simple fact remains that my favorite drugs are adrenaline and lust, not just in the literal sense, but lust for material things: money, power, influence… to be of some importance although I now realize the pursuit of such vague materialistic concepts are perpetually exhausting and ultimately hollow. The punishment of desire is the agony of unfulfillment, and there are many other things of deeper and lasting importance to pursue and attain: kindness, generosity, love, wisdom… to be of some importance through family, relationships and the legacy of my positive influence. This is my third time down- I’ve done time for robbery, assault, possession with intent to distribute narcotics and this time commercial burglary, drugs again and assault again. I’m the real thing and my rap sheet speaks for itself, but I’m tired of that life- It’s an illusion and counterproductive. In short, the risk no longer sustains the reward. Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future and I’m looking to transcend this place by connecting with someone out there who believes the same thing. Women only please, I’m surrounded by guys all day, every day and need a good woman to remind me of the finer things in life and why I never want to come back to prison again. But for now, I’m here, and I’m willing to learn from the lessons as they present themselves.
I just turned 36, although people usually don’t believe I’m that age. I guess I look younger, and I most definitely feel that way. I love music: hip-hop, rap, classic rock, reggae and blues. I’m really feeling Kendrick and Run the Jewels right now, but I grew up in the golden age and always have airtime for B.I.G., Pac, Jay-Z, Nas, The Fugees and my personal fave- Outkast. I play acoustic guitar, philosophize, (Aristotle, Pythagoras, Tolle, Nietzsche), try to play chess, watch and read Game of Thrones (nerdin’ out) and watch a lot of Rick and Morty and films. I like writing in all it’s forms and consider myself a cunning linguist and a master of oratory. I exercise religiously and play any sport with a ball and play it well. I’m Native American (Michel Band Cree from Spruce Grove, Alberta) and Caucasian. I was born and raised in the very northwest tip of the U.S. on the border of Canada in Bellingham, Wa- about 1.5 hours from both Vancouver, B.C. and the Emerald City- Seattle. I’m 6'2", 200 pounds with black hair, dark brown eyes and olive skin. It’s been said I am tall, dark and handsome, and that sounds good, so I think I’ll go with that. I’m far from perfect though and that’s not what I’m looking for either. We are imperfect beings, living in an imperfect world and it’s all of life’s little imperfections that make it interesting. I seem to be drawn to ethnic women: Native, Latina, Mediterranean, Baltic, East Indian, South Asian, Islander- basically all dark complected ladies- and find the wholesomely innocent, yet deceptively powerful and cultured extremely attractive. Yet beauty is a relative term and I find it in anyone who is graceful, confident and authentic. I’m just giving you the really real and that’s all I ask in return. I have 4 years left of a 7.5 year sentence and have a total of about 10 years in the joint. That’s too much for me and I’m looking to escape this monotonous existence by getting to know someone new. I get through my time with a strong and slightly dark sense of humor. I love to laugh and believe that without humor and laughter we don’t stand a chance against the difficulties this life presents.
