The sheer terror of asking someone what they thought about Tenna, they say they didn’t like him, their main takeaway being “I guess the message is that tv is bad.”
I wonder how upset the fandom will be if it’s revealed Gaster doesn’t actually have holes in his hands.
Not to be an absolute cringe buzzkill but part of me is very sad that Asgore was this tragic king figure in Undertale, and now he’s just a clown. I mean the truck song’s kind of funny, it only took me being waterboarded with those memes to finally crack a smile at that “Bergentruck” video lol. But truck memes aside yeah uh, I’m not really liking Asgore a whole lot in Deltarune so far.
I loved him more than Toriel in Undertale (not for bara reasons), I guess I romanticised the image of a depressed king who’d done horrible things but was still genuinely polite, and remorseful with you before the fight itself.
But hey! We’re living in the DUI timeline now where Asgore gets drunk, noms all the snacks off the tray and is way too desperate to make up with his divorced wife. Might as well have a laugh.
This was the thrash machine I made. I thought the sword had a cute face 🐸
Why does the church look like Ralsei.
“I don’t get the thirst for Te-…”
So when Rouxls Kaard was first introduced, and I didn’t yet know how the dark worlds worked, I thought he was based on a blue screen error.
Naaah nah nah not this shit again. Someone is hiding in these closets. Also why did the priest NOT bury his dad’s ash covered hammer as per tradition, and instead just keep it in his drawer? Is he in on this dark fountain business??
I dunno bro you tell me
The jitterbug scene at the end of ch4 was really funny at first, but when Kris and Susie got uncomfortable, I did too, and memories of my own parents’ messy divorce came flooding back.
Sorry mizzle simps.
(This is a joke, please do not kill me)
Ok so I’m going to talk a bit more about the knight again, because something feels…different this second time around. The knight seems more composed, taunting even. Crossing its arms as it just slides away from Susie, rolling its eyes and laughing at us as we seemingly have it cornered at the second fountain. Although there was that weird moment where it was in front of the stained glass windows and it looked like it was twitching out until Susie called up at it.
So the person who reposted my last knight post, spinedotlazuli1220 (hope you don’t mind being named), mentioned possession. Which really hit the nail on the head. First time we meet the knight I think it’s having a momentary break of control, it’s crying, reluctant, until it balls up screams and I think, that’s when whoever’s behind the possession takes back control (if the knight is indeed Dess, it would be her mother). And they are fully in control when we meet the knight again at the dark sanctuary.
This raises even further questions about Kris, because at first when ch2’s end scene reveal happened when they made the fountain, and especially ch4’s horrible going’s on at Noelle’s house, I assumed they were just secretly in with the villains the whole time. But they are kind, if a little troubled, and obviously care for their friends unless we, the soul, push them to do otherwise. We as the soul, the player, are in a tug of war with whatever the fuck is trying to use Kris to enact their plan. Spamton even tells us directly after the neo battle, that he hopes “you 3 can cut your own strings”, with Kris being especially shaken up by this afterwards. They are “a heart on a chain”, they are someone’s puppet. And I godamn hope we can help them.
I just finished ch4 and I have sooooooo many thoughts, but I’m going to sit and take it in for a bit and have a think thounk.
Look at the way it’s introduced to us. Back turned. Susie calls out, something sparkles on its face. It looks at us with an upset expression, before leaning down and crying. It doesn’t want to do this.
Also I’m very late to the Deltarune scene, I don’t have a pc so I was only able to play it and catch up when it finally came to console. A lot of what I point out and such is not going to be original or anything lol.
