I ACTUALLY KNOW EXACTLY HOW THIS HAPPENED.
When typing up the instructions, the pharmacist or technician was probably using shorthand in the computer, which automatically translates into text a patient can understand. The shorthand for this would have originally been ‘2 pfs po q4h prn hs’, where ‘prn’ stands for ‘as needed’. And there was a typo, so ‘prn’ became ‘pr’, which stands for ‘per rectum’ (aka rectally). I’ve done this myself on accident with ‘diabetes’ (DIAB) and ‘diarrhea’ (DIA), as well as prn and pr.
…And that was your medical jargon lesson for the day, kiddies.

The Wow! signal.
A signal sequence that lasted for 72 seconds in 1977 but has never been seen again. The signal appeared to come from a globular cluster in the Sagittarius constellation, but to this day no definite answer for where the signal originated can be given.
This signal…
After numerous checks and re-checks, it’s been found to have definitely come from an extraterrestrial source.
It was broadcast at 1420 MHz. This frequency isn’t used by Earth communications for science reasons. It’s a frequency which neutral hydrogen emits at in interstellar space and is useful in radio astronomy.
Interestingly, emitting a strong signal at this frequency is a likely way to get someone’s attention if there’s anyone listening, because any other radio astronomers in the universe will definitely know of it and be making observations of it.
That really is a very strong signal. Against the backgrounds, it looks to me like about 30 standard deviations (give or take).
Actually, that globular cluster (M55) is just the closest object to the transmission’s source. It appeared to have come from a region of mostly empty space (though it’s worth remembering that distant red dwarfs or brown dwarfs could be too faint to be detectable).
The astronomer who found this and scrawled “Wow!” on that printout was Jerry Ehman at the Big Ear radio telescope in Ohio. Credit where it’s due.
Despite a lot of efforts, this kind of signal has only ever been recorded this one time. There’s a chance we may never know what it was.
It is unlike any other kind of phenomenon ever observed in astronomy. The only logical scientific explanation is that it was one of two things: Either it was a completely unknown and incredibly rare astronomical phenomenon which modern astronomy is completely unaware of – or it was an intercepted alien transmission. There are no other possibilities.
I really love the Wow! signal.
Okay but what does it sound like?
here you go, @im-the-swamp-witch
That sound filled me with unearthly dread
i would wanna use this in a sci fi horror film/game, like, its coming from a machine in the background or sumn
Ravus would rather die than admit to anyone that he was nervous. He felt as though the contents of his stomach would rise and spill at any moment. Not that there was much more than coffee in him. He hadn’t been on a stage in almost ten years but somehow Noctis and the others had convinced him to sing a few of his personal songs.
He flinched as a hand clasped his shoulder, pulling him from his thoughts.
He looked over to see Ignis smiling at him. “It is perfectly normal to be nervous.”
“Preposterous, my nerves are fine. Completely normal.”
“You’re shaking Ravus.” Ignis remarked.
Ravus bit his lip and swallowed thickly. “This, It...it dredges up memories I have long tried bury.”
“You do not have to do this is you are uncomfortable.” Ignis reassured.
“No.” Ravus took a deep breath steadying himself. “I have to. That man has kept me from what I love from far to long.”
“Well all be right there with you.” Ignis squeezed his shoulder again as Ravus placed a hand over his mirroring the action.
“Thank you Ignis.” The lights dimmed and the crowd began to scream. “Shall we?”

Ravus has a very sad story in this AU but he overcomes it beautifully. I have such a soft spot for his character. I imagine he would sound like Chris Motionless, so here I believe he would be singing Brand New Numb by motionless in white. :)
I’m incredibly pleased with how this turned out. Overjoyed actually. This is the first of around twenty three illustrations I have planned for this. So it’s setting a good standard:)

Ravus yanked his head phones off and threw them at the monitor in frustration. Something was wrong with the song and he couldn’t quite figure out why. He growled in angrily, as he snatched a packet of cigarettes off the table, before heading toward the studio door. He needed a break.
He made his way quickly through the building hallways toward the roof access, his slippered feet making an angry shushing noise as he walked.
He all but threw the door open, taking the stairs two at a time until he reached the top. He breathed a sigh of relief as he was greeted with the chilly Insomnian night air.
“I was under the assumption you had quite smoking.” A familiar voice remarked to the left of him.
Ravus turned to see ignis seated in the small sitting area they had created, a can of ebony in his hand. Of course the blond would drink coffee at one in the morning.
Ravus sighed placing the small poison stick in his mouth and lighting it. He breathed in deep and felt the tension in his shoulders release just a little.
“I had but well, old habits die so hard.” He replied finally plopping into one of the open chairs next to Ignis.
“Indeed they do.”

I can’t believe that the sacredness of shared meals is not well known???
Mealtime is an extremely important cultural and social ritual. There are psychological benefits for cooking for other people, and serving a meal stabilizes the emotions between the provider and the receiver. Cooking with your partner, like accomplishing any task together, strengthens relationships. Eating together strengthens communal bonds and helps with mental health. Sharing the same food with someone else builds trust, cooperation, and a sense of connectivity. It’s a shame how in our fast paced society we don’t value the importance of regularly breaking bread with one another
The bond of sharing a meal is so strong that it can be its own kind of relationship.
I never color anything lol.
Sugar…..spice…..and everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girl. But Professor Utonium accidentally added an EXTRA INGREDIENT to the concoction…. CHEMICAL X.
