I have used the below panels of Tim telling Bruce that he's not the boss of him many times to show that Tim knows what he's saying when he says something very direct, but I guess I'd want to add, I think Tim saying to Bruce, "Look, you're upset about something else, and I'm not going to entertain these concerns that are not premised in what is actually happening between us right now," is a kind of direct communication that Bruce would appreciate.
