Trying to sketch ideas for a villain's armoured headpiece. Not really nuts about any of them.

This is so dumb I love it. I've been watching The Expanse and was thinking about the palette swap that the Roci went through (as well as another ship but spoilers) and figured since I often sample nature and specifically animal stripes, why not try it with that? And that's how we get the tactical clownfish.

I saw this device (I think an Ambernic) which was just a square screen with a swivel-out gamepad... but that made me think " a square touch screen is all we really need, right?" And that got me thinking "well, what if anything else we might want could just be plugged in? And what if we could daisy chain interfaces/components?" And that wound up being this weird sketch.

Redrawing a comic page of mine, almost 30 years later.

You can probably identify the Alex Toth influence. And those old Crayola markers REALLY held up over the years, I'm really impressed.

Hit by a wave of inspiration this morning and sketched a bunch of pages. These are a few, I have others to finish and I want to do colour versions as well.

Study drawing of a cool WWI flight jacket, definitely something I'll refer to for costume design.

I had an old (10+ years old) sketch for a costume/character and decided to redraw it. Thought I would have innovated a bit more than I did, but I'm still glad I did it. I got a few new ideas from it, even if it doesn't look like it.

Turning a styrofoam block from a boxed TV into a sci-fi cargo bay. Very rough, very OLD sketch. I just wanted to get rid of the paper it was on.

Had a bit of inspiration for armour design... I was worried it might look like a Harlequin suit, which I didn't want, so I just did a quick and dirty marker drawing in a cardstock sketchpad.

A few things inspired me to try to draw old school Disney characters to see if I could learn something, weight, strong confident lines, etc... not sure if it was successful, but it was fun and it could make a good warm up exercise.
