You know what? It's actually a good ending for Perfect Crown because 1. I didn't expect this show to be logical at any point and 2. this is the only way for the leads to stay together and for the female lead to get everything she wants.

Huiju can't be in business and royal at the same time, so if they didn't abolish the monarchy, they'd either have to get divorced (lol, no) or she'd have to be content with LOVE or some bullshit. (See No Gain No Love, where the FL basically lost everything and got love as a consultation prize, which felt like a total betrayal of her character)

Huiju got the approval of her family, she is the heir apparent to her business, and she has her romantic husband. Wins all around! And Yi Ahn doesn't have to be royal anymore, which he didn't seem to enjoy anyway. It's a happy ending for the characters, even if it's illogical. But again, romcom, I wasn't here for logic.

Would it be super cute to see Queen Huiju and King... -checks scene- Sungjo hanging out with some little hanbok-clad babies? Yes. If this was a completely different show where the female lead was actually interested in being a wife and mother, but she wasn't, so this is the perfect ending and I am content.
