Tips to not eat.
• Do something. Take the dog for a walk, go to the shop, meet friends - go somewhere and do something, staying home makes it too easy to nip downstairs and munch on something. Learn the difference between being bored and actually being hungry. Makes the world of difference.
• Alternatively, do something that doesn’t involve leaving the house. Brush your teeth, do some kind of workout, clean some of the house, there’s so much you can do!
• Drink water! I’m sure you’ve heard this a lot, over and over but I cannot tell you enough times how true it is! It really does suppress hunger and is great for you overall.
• If you are dying to eat something, make a smoothie! I love orange juice, banana and ice, for a simple sweet one - or, kale, pineapple juice, banana and ice - or, kale, mixed berries, banana, pom juice and ice! Today I am trying green tea, honey, banana and berries with ice. Hopefully it will be as tasty as the others!
• When you do have a meal, have it on a small plate, but make it look full! You can literally trick your mind into believing you are eating more than you are. ALSO WORKS: eat slower, again, you can trick your mind into believing you are fuller than you are! Also, don’t keep eating after you’re full, something I’m guilty of. Sometimes it takes me a while to realise I don’t need to eat anymore. Don’t force yourself to keep going.
That’s all I can think of as of right now. Hopefully it helps someone out there!
