We should make rocky more fucked up about separating from grace before the second taumoeba leak. like we only get their goodbye from grace's pov who is facing the long trip back to earth and devastated about losing his only friend. rocky is facing another three years (nine in the movie!) of being alone in his long-term trauma-home and having no one to watch him sleep. he had a brief few months where he allowed himself to feel comfortable and safe for the first time in forever and now he's regretting it. he knows the mission was a success but that doesn't stop the horror of it's happening again. he's alone again. he cannot do this again.
