hurray for robert acknowledging his own needs! his trauma! his tying himself in knots trying to make everyone else happy to outrun his own unhappiness!

loving the comedic energy of this trio. the juggling act, robert having his head in his hands ten times an episode. whatever carnage they may throw at us at least we had a little laugh. robert sugden my slutty little diva never change

really enjoying the mutual agreement that they’re gonna have to tell people they’re back together like their whole brand isn’t that they’re inevitable. as sure as the sun rises. nothing can stop it. but keep up the act boys ❤️

thinking about robert being in his father's house being battered for kissing boys. thinking about robert being in prison being battered for kissing boys. thinking about how robert's life has just gone around in one big circle and how he ended up right where he started: trapped somewhere he doesn't want to be being battered for kissing boys.

thinking about how there are only two people who have saved him when he was trapped in those places: aaron, over a decade after the fact, who freed robert from being trapped in his bedroom being beaten by his father inside his own head forever simply by loving him without conditions. and kev, who swooped in and hurt the people hurting robert even worse than they hurt him, who kept him safe from being hurt again, who only asked for his body and his affection in return.

thinking about robert being in prison (his father's house) being battered for kissing boys and kev sweeping in to save him from the people hurting him (his father). thinking about how that would have fucked with his head in ways i can't even fathom. thinking about how it all makes a little bit more sense if you think about it from the perspective of the scared, closeted 15 year old that needs to be saved from the bad man hurting him. and here comes kev.

i’m gonna need the whole village grovelling to robert after this. never again to be doubted. i want an annual village celebration named Robert Was Right. all the villagers talk about the times he was right and they dismissed him and how foolish they were. and most importantly he’s not gonna gaf cos he got aaron and that’s all he wanted 💅🏼
