guys that’s their fUTURE set in sTONE <333
NOBODY AS ADORABLE AS HIM 😠
no but that fight, THAT FIGHT! that's the crux of it, of their respective sugden issues™. robert's spent his entire life making the best of it because he knew he couldn't count on anyone but himself until aaron. nobody chose him, even if he did try, if he helped, if he did the best he could pulling people out of burning cars he'd still be sent away, have to scrape to make the best of it.
vic has lived surrounded by family and friends, who always think they know what's best for her, who love her in a way that's walls closing in. and when she tries to make her own decisions they make them for her and get sent away, and she ends up alone. clinging to the people she has left, who still want to make choices for her, but she's making the best of it.
she loves robert but she wants to fend for herself because no one ever lets her, and robert loves her and wants to save her because he had to fend for himself. they want to fight a family curse that's actually just living some of the life the other was forced to.
when robert finds out kev stabbed himself to stop robert appealing and realises it means time lost with everyone - with liv, with harry, with seb, with aaron, with faith - that if he'd been home john wouldn't have got his claws into the village, that aaron wouldn't have gone through half as much shit alone, that he'd have had the time to work out custody with rebecca, that he wouldn't have been so helpless while the people he loves suffered.
god. i hope the fallout hits like a fourteen-wheeler.
robert trying to act like a normal person and failing every time underrated character trait
robert in the last scene of monday's episode: i can be patient
robert in the first scene of tuesday's episode: so that was a fucking lie
