Celebrate the style and counterculture of street fashion! From local trends to styles from around the world, draw or write your favourite Shaman King characters representing fashion, individuality, and the underground movement that is street fashion.

This event is designed to be inclusive, flexible, and creatively supportive. Participation is for fun only and isn't required to be a beloved member of our bouquet here at SK Petals.

My bisexual polyamorous trio. They are my Pride and joy. As a bisexual person in a hetero marriage, it’s hard to see yourself represented in media. I feel as though I created them with my heart. They mean the world to me. See additional note here.

🧡💜A Love Through the Ages💜🧡

This was an event piece for @skpetalsig the idea was to draw shaman king characters and/or OCs in a different time period. I decided do a Tao Ren x Kikyo piece, to combine the three pieces and do it in a “stained glass” style to make it look like it is one of those cathedral pieces that tell a story!

For ancient worlds, I chose ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom period. For Courts, Warriors and Empires I chose the high Middle Ages. For Revolution to Modernity I chose the Edwardian era. The last piece is the modern version of them!

When I chose the ages, I wanted to find eras that I hadn’t drawn RenKi in before to make interesting. The idea of a love across times isn’t new for them, it’s central to their story in fact, but I thought it would be fun to do a new take on it!

Welcome to SKPetals Secret Summer!

A mystery gift exchange, enjoying all things summer!

Secret Summer, similarly to Secret Santa and Secret Valentines, is a mid-year event between a group of people where there is an exchange of gifts centred around group, romantic and friendship themes but with a touch of summer thrown into it! Everyone is assigned with someone and their respective wishlist, the goal is to gift the assigned person something from their wishlist.

Petals is an open, inclusive, supportive space, and we would like to celebrate diversity, love and compassion that make up the LGBTQ+ community.

The LGBTQ+ movement is the living, breathing example of every lesson that our favourite media, Shaman King, represents. Love, acceptance, happiness, belonging and found families.

During this month, we want to see everyone's pride! Draw your pride, write your pride, join parades, represent you for who you are and stand proud alongside your allies.

This event is to celebrate pride and love for who we are all born to be. This is a celebration of the courage of pride and a safe, warm space for our beloved LGBTQ+ members, where they are not reminded of their struggles but are embraced and loved for who they are.

What is expected you to do in this event

Color Palettes

This theme encourages our creators to pick one of the palettes presented for the theme and produce a piece of work using said palette. It is a creative theme designed for you to step out of your comfort zones by having you to focus on values (lightness and darkness) and colour relationships.

Can I mix and match all three palettes?

Please do not mix and match the palettes, pick just one out of the three palettes and stick to that one.

Am I only allowed to use that palette?

No, you may use other colours outside the palettes, but the idea is that the colours of the palette stick out in your art!

🌸 Prose Challenge 🌸

This theme encourages our Petals members to pick one or more of the words presented for the theme and produce a written work (short, long, poetry, you choose!) using that word as an inspiration. Use your imagination, write within a canon timeline, an AU, whatever you wish for!

Do I have to use all the words from the set I choose?

No, it is not mandatory to use all the words, just pick one (or more if you desire so) and use it as the source of inspiration for your written work.

Do I have to include the palette and the words in the same work?

No, you do not. The mods prefer if you choose one theme for the fic and another for the art.

Do I have to do both challenges (art and writing)?

You do not! If you want, you can participate in both challenges but only do what you're comfortable with, do not give yourself a burn out!

My contribution to the Asakura Twins birthday celebrations. This is also my entry to the @skpetals Birthday Brothers Balloons event.

It's been amazing to see so many creators come out and show their love for my favourite fictional twins!!

I had planned to get back to the FD comic and complete part two this week. Unfortunately, real life had other ideas, so baking cupcakes with my husband and my children for each one of my TWELVE twin variant fictional children and filming a silly TikTok was all I could manage. 🥺

May 12th proves itself once again to be one of my favourite days of the year. I am guaranteed to smile more today!
