Amazing Cabinets of Curiosties
Cane- Ca. 1870
This cane features a primates skull as a handle and a shaft made of the vertebrae of a reptiles spine. This highly collectible natural history and barely encountered cane is contemporary to Charles Darwin and his assumptions of natural selection. It has been raised that this cane could be an amulet cane designed to bring success to its bearer while hunting! Such a unique piece!!
