so you wanna lift on black friday, huh?
it’s possible, even tho i don’t really recommend it. it’s possible to get lots and be (relatively) safe about it too. some things i’ve figured out:
1. stores that don’t have lp/don’t have the money or resources to amp up lp are generally goldmines. i’m talking about the usual easy places like claires/icing, maybe hollister depending on if yours is high-theft, chain mall stores that don’t get tons of traffic and have only one or two people working but that will be busy come friday
2. the reverse of that, obviously, is don’t fuck with big places known to amp up lp on black friday unless you’re damn sure you know what you’re doing. lp is expecting you to lift and they’re 10x more attentive on bf than any other day. walmart knows bf is a big theft, big chaos day. they’re not stupid, so don’t you be either
3. if you can’t crowd conceal, don’t even think about going honestly. you’re not gonna get any peace. if you can’t conceal while customer x is looking away or while squeezing past customer y, you’re gonna be stressed and nervous and sus wandering around looking for a blindspot you’ll never find
4. dressing room sas are gonna be overwhelmed in most stores. use it to your advantage. if somebody walks out of a previously-locked dressing room, get your ass in there before the door closes behind them. sa looks frazzled? they won’t have time to count you in and out, won’t have the presence of mind to remember what all 8 people in the dressing rooms had with them. don’t be sloppy, judge your situation accordingly, and you could walk out with lots of nice shit.
5. the longer the day goes on, the messier everything gets. again, use this to your advantage. especially if you wanna go on saturday after bf, which i’d recommend pretty highly instead of bf itself if you’re in the states
6. bf is different depending on where you are. i’m canadian, so bf isn’t necessarily small, but it’s not a massive insane blowout like in america lmao. again, judge your situation accordingly
7. don’t be a dumbass. there’s no pressure to go out on bf, u don’t need to prove anything. if you do go, be smart about it. and don’t be surprised if u get caught lmao
