I had a Genshin dream today (October 22, 2022)

Lol I found this in my drafts so here it is-

Now, I don’t actually remember every event clearly, I just remember that DILUC AND KAEYA were swapped. ᴬˡˢᵒ ᵗʰᵉʸ ʷᵉʳᵉ ᶦⁿ ᵃⁿ ᵘⁿᵈᵉʳᶜᵒᵛᵉʳ ᵐᶦˢˢᶦᵒⁿ ᵃⁿᵈ ᵗʰᵉʳᵉ ʷᵃˢ ᵗᶦᵐᵉ⁻ᵗʳᵃᵛᵉˡᶦⁿᵍ—

Diluc was wearing like casual wear with an eyepatch over his right eye, while Kaeya here is dressed in all black and fancy as shit-

No Diluc did not have a boob window, unfortunately (You can probably see the VERY top of his chest, but that’s about it lmao)

(Kaeya reminded me of Dainsleif, but he didn’t have an eyepatch. Also he had two scars under his eyes that make them look like stripes?)

Anyway, the entire dream was in the webtoon style

They were at a really fancy restaurant, investigating a scheme belonging to the treasure hoarders.

As I’ve mentioned, there was time-traveling.

I’m pretty sure Diluc had the ability to travel into the past/bring people into the past, while Kaeya had the ability to travel into the future/bring people to the future.

Diluc used his ability to go into the past to test different possibilities (thus creating alternate timelines) while Kaeya would bring Diluc back into the future (or Kaeya’s present)

One of them always have to be in their true present (like the timeline they originated from or are supposed to be in) to avoid getting lost in time

They both have a pocket watch to see how long the other is in the future or past so they know when to bring them back before they’re lost.

What if you landed in Teyvat and get branded as an imposter, just to find out that other people are too?

Like Teyvat has a list of Imposters, each one with their own ‘nickname’ to distinguish between them. They’ve listed down the traits each imposter had to identify future ones. (Perhaps some have a few of The Creator’s traits, but not all of them. While others just don’t have anything special)

Turns out, someone is sending Genshin players into this universe. (Whether that be because they’re the real creator and wanted to test the people of Teyvat, or if it’s a test for the player to ascend and become The Creator, idk I like both ideas)

On that note, maybe some people nearly ascended but they were killed at the last minute. And you’re the unlucky one who got sent to Genshin during the most recent events, so the imposter craze is at an all-time high and you’re given a harder time.

There could be like a secret notebook/diary reserved for players by past players to help them with this situation (lists what is safe to eat, basic survival skills, where to farm stats, and the best hiding spots etc)

A strange phenomenon is going around making everyone’s faces look the same to the characters. Only the players can see each others’ true faces.

I imagined this in the scenario the players are given a ‘System’, but it could probably work with regular imposter SAGAU too

Genshin idea: Kit Upgrades Through Skins

Okay so I think we all know about Diluc’s special 5 star skin that changes the attacks’ looks and such.

I just had a dream that MiHoyo released skins with the ability to change a character’s kit completely. In my dream, it focused specifically on Xinyan.

They had introduced a skin banner. You would get these kit skins through that banner. To pull on that banner, you needed a different type of currency (that is far rarer and harder to get than Primogems but that’s okay it’s new and good and I’m ok with it).

Anyway so in the dream, I got Xinyan’s alternate kit skin. Basically her kit has turned EM centric and most of her damage comes from overload. The enemies just kept getting bombed and it was freaking hilarious. No one could touch Xinyan.

It was fun while the dream lasted.

Then I woke up and realized I live in a world where there are no alternate kit skins, and Xinyan’s badass purple mixed with red outfit doesn’t exist 😭

But the creator curses the Archons to suffer the same fate they did as punishment

Basically the archons that wronged the creator gets branded as an imposter, stripped of most of their powers, and chased out/hunted by everyone in Teyvat

I can just imagine everyone in Liyue being pissed at Zhongli for disrespecting their dead god-

Okay so you all know how a lot of the angsty imposter stories usually start out with the MC immediately being branded as an imposter (or at least the ones I’ve read)?

Think about this

MC arrives to Teyvat with no special powers, or any physical way to distinguish them from a normal human (people may feel more relaxed around them or feel a sense of familiarity, but nothing more than that).

The people there find them and immediately start worshipping them regardless.

After a while, people start noticing the “all powerful, omnipresent creator” isn’t very “powerful” or “omnipresent”. Because the creator wasn’t what they expected to be, they jump to the conclusion that they’re an imposter.

I can just imagine the people feeling betrayed and tricked, while the MC’s just like “dude, I didn’t ask for y’all to worship me. In fact, I’ve asked y’all to stop… multiple times…”

Okay so I was looking at a video of Xiao’s expression in the beta

Yeah that one

You know how there’s comments saying how he trained before release?

I just imagine you go to his weapon screen one day

He accidentally misses his polearm, and the weapon clatters on the floor of the menu

Xiao’s internally panicking, but acting like nothing happened. He’s just holding nothing while trying to keep a straight face.

You think it’s a really funny and weird bug, so you screenshot it to eternalize Xiao’s embarrassment

This can work with any character really-

Imagine if the reader acquired an already built Genshin account.

Maybe they hacked someone’s account, maybe they bought it from someone, or maybe their friend grew out of it but wanted someone else to make use of it.

How would the self-aware character react? Especially for the bought scenario. How would they feel knowing that their original God just sold them?
