Daisy looked down at her phone screen as she walked briskly down the street. The red dot blinked on her screen as she moved, following it as close as she could. The tracker she managed to place on this guy had her following him around the city until she could corner him. While she was tailing him, she had witnessed him commit several acts of thievery and she intended to stop him. Her plan was to apprehend him and then drop him off at the local jail.
That’s how Daisy worked these days. She was somewhat of a vigilante and worked to stop petty crimes. It was about all she could do. Anymore use of her powers would break her bones. She was already nursing a sprained wrist and didn’t want anything else inhibiting her. She relied solely on her combat skills to get the job done. She found herself laughing at her situation sometimes. Fighting lame battles wasn’t really what she wanted to be doing.
“Gotcha..” Daisy mumbled as the target rounded a corner into an alley. She followed him, tucking herself into the shadows as she did. He paused and Daisy decided that was the appropriate time to attack. She fought hard, surprised that the man could actually fight back. Of course, she was doing the best she could without her powers for now. There was no use in hurting herself further.
The man caught Daisy off guard and was able to knock her on her back. He pinned her down and had a grip on her neck. As she struggled to breathe, she knew what she had to do. With a cry of pain, Daisy sent a seismic blast just strong enough to knock him off of her. Once she secured the man, she took a moment to asses her damage. Now, a sprained wrist and more bruising. She pulled her sleeves back down and tried to forget about it. She looked up and saw a dark figure enter the alleyway. “I don’t need your help..” she said, recognizing who it was almost immediately.
