robby happens to be behind dennis in line at the coffee shop down the block from the hospital for work one morning when dennis forgets his wallet at home. he turns around and is like oh god dr. robby i'm so sorry this is so unprofessional but i swear i'll pay you back tomorrow but i am so tired i really need this with the saddest wet puppy eyes. robby had already pulled his wallet out the second he heard that dennis couldn't pay and has to pretend it's not totally doing something for him to be able to Provide for dennis. like genuinely half hard in his pants over buying his inappropriate subordinate work crush a $6 iced latte.

I'm imagining after this Robby starts camping out in front of that coffee shop before each shift so when he sees Dennis coming he can very subtly makes sure they end up in line beside each other (he's not subtle at all, Dennis clocks it from a mile away but keeps his mouth shut cause it's so endearing).

And then Robby acts all surprised like oh! I didn't even see you there, but hey, why don't you order something and this can be my treat, it's just easier if I pay, ya know, save the staff from doing two transactions.

Until that turns into them getting coffee together before every shift, always on Robby's dime.
