hey love let's run away ♫
Keith had been wandering the gallery for what felt like hours, and had yet to find an exit or even a reception. Surely any decent art gallery would have at least both, right? Otherwise how would the visitors be able to get out when they wanted to, or ask the gallery personnel any questions they might have had? But then, Keith had figured this wasn't just any normal art gallery he somehow found himself in--it gave off a rather eerie vibe, and so far he hadn't bumped into any other visitor, which was rather strange in itself. He wasn't even sure how he got here in the first place, either. All he remembered was waking up in the middle of a hallway with a yellow rose and BB gun, which he now carried with him, lying on the floor nearby.
Eventually, Keith reached a room with more sculptures and paintings put on display. Honestly, he wasn't exactly knowledgeable in the artistic domain, but even he could appreciate art and how behind each piece there was an artist who put their everything into it. Art was truly a beautiful thing! Sometimes Keith wondered how it'd be like to dabble in painting or drawing, but neither was probably his thing.
He'd have stayed to admire the pieces longer, but upon closer inspection of one of the statues he noted how it...--kind of started moving. Moving, moving right towards him with its black arms reaching out to grab him and--
Hey maybe it was time to start moving too.
Keith quickly stepped away from the statues reach, although it soon took a turn and followed him anyway. Whoa whoa whoa, okay, it took him a few moments to make sure that he wasn't hallucinating because he was pretty sure statues didn't come to life just like that. Admittedly, it's not like he wasn't used to weird occurrences in his daily life, but even if he had already witnessed statues coming to life way back they only did so thanks to a NEXT's power. And as far as he could tell this here statue seemed to be moving without any help. He was also pretty sure he didn't smoke anything weird beforehand. Keith Goodman was incapable of doing such illegal things.
For a split second, he had forgotten that he could protect himself with both the gun and his wind powers. It didn't make much of a difference once he did though--out to kill him or not, it just didn't feel right to damage gallery property. Not only was it costly, but also disrespectful! So he decided to just turn around and run off the same way he entered, and hopefully lose the statue that unfortunately was a lot faster than it looked. Man if he had his jetpack he'd have been able to just fly off as fast as he could.
As he ran, he spotted someone heading in his direction--! Finally, someone else besides himself in this god forsaken place! Too bad this wasn't the time to be stopping and acquainting yourself with strangers, since the statue was trailing stubbornly behind. Oh no, he couldn't let the other get hurt by that thing, either. What kind of hero would let an innocent person be exposed to harm on his watch? He turned his face to look at the person as he got close enough, and slowed down while he was at it.
"Hello there my friend! Pardon me but I do believe running is in order!"
Not giving the other much time to react, he grabbed their wrist and pulled them along to a safer place. It wasn't probably very polite of him to do so, but this was all for their safety. Eventually, they probably managed to lose the statue somehow by turning a few corners and stopping at an empty hallway.
