“Its just not safe.”
"It looks fine to me...?"
“What I don’t understand is why people won’t just realise I’m being helpful. I’m trying to break the never ending Croc cycle.”
"And you think MOCKING people will achieve this? This... this is exactly what is wrong in today's society."
“It’s a long one… But I do love to tell it. Alright, so there was a hitchiker, he has three heads, no arms, and one leg. Anyway, one day there was a truck driver who pulled up and said to him” Caleb cleared his throat and with his best British accent ( that was really quite horrible ) ,he said “’Ello, ‘ello, ‘ello, you look harmless, hop in.”
Sklar listened as he spoke, her lips twitching as she fought back the urge to laugh prematurely. She then burst out laughing as soon as he tried to put on a different accent. "That was so bad it was great!"
“Well when they’re on the plate they taste so good nobody seems to care anymore.” She laughed a little bit. “We are an odd society of people.”
"Makes me feel kind of guilty for eating it, but it tastes so goooood."
O, the desolate dirt. The raw, scorched earth. It’s a trophy of your worth. O, the desolate dirt. The raw, scorched earth. It’s a scar of my hurt.

I just realised I didn't introduce Skylar or Alex so I'm gonna try and do that now, oops. So, here’s Skylar:
Skylar is human
She has lived in Emerald Springs since she was three years old
She is unaware of the supernatural world, but believes there's something more out there
When she was three her parents were killed by a vampire, which was passed off like an animal attack, and was almost killed as well until the vampire had a moment of human weakness and took her instead
She now lives with that vampire, unaware of the true nature of why she was adopted by this person, and views him as a sort of uncle figure
She goes to college and is an art major and one day wants something that she's created to be hung in a museum
Despite her tragic past, she's incredibly light-hearted and always seems to be smiling
She likes to be an advocate for those who suffer at the hands and words of others
She LOVES puns
Procrastination is like a sport to her
However, once she moves past the procrastination station she is generally focused and very hard to distract as she delves into her art
Sport? What is sport? She's probably the least athletic person around
Last time she attempted to punch someone she broke her own hand, that's how incredibly clumsy she is
Violence makes her want to cry
She's obsessed with sour patch kids, and most definitely that’s the way to her heart
“No way. That promotes bad behaviour, the kid ends up with just as much bad sense as their parents that way.”
"Crocs don't promote bad behaviour, those that mock others for wearing them do," Skylar pointed out, giving the blonde a pointed look.
“Mmm, that’s what I said.”
"Oh... crap," Skylar sighed. Her interest was no longer held by the jokes which meant her art project was once again looming over her head. "Uh... what's your favourite joke?"
“he got hit by a car every time,” meredith told her, “they’re just investigating the crime scene to understand what happened completely.”
"do they expect... fowl play?" skylar couldn't help herself as she began laughing at her own pun.
“Well God forbid I meet the poor bastard that woke up one morning and decided to make crocs.”
"To be fair, I would never wear crocs. They're totally fine on kids, but adults? I've never owned a pair."
“Well technically I heard the joke’s a metaphor for suicide, but literally… Don’t know, could of been anything.”
"Oh... really?" Skylar's laughter sobered up. "That uh... takes all the humour out of them."
“Seriously,” Laurel overheard the girl’s comment and nodded her head in agreement, “you’d think after so many years of being questioned people would stop doubting the chicken’s motives.”
"I think they've went through every probable motive by now," Skylar chuckled, "I think the only time they're not questioned is when they are on the plate."
“Vintage…” Rebecca shook her head “That’s the first mistake, trying to pass off ugliness as charm.”
"What's ugly for you is beautiful to someone else," Skylar shrugged. "--- There's more than one mistake?"
“Pretty hard for a chicken to cross a road without questioning when a human can’t even do it.” He mused.
"Makes you kind of wonder why they were questioned in the first place," Skylar continued. "And why chickens?"
