This is so difficult when they push you away because they think it’s for the best. :(

“Are Boring People Really Boring?”
“I don’t know if it’s just me or is he really boring or what?” once in a while, this question really pops up in our mind when we talk to a person. I, for one, happen to come across people I find “boring”. Example, I was at this party and this person came up to me and started talking to me. Basic ice breaker like, what’s your name, how old are you, what school are you from blah blah and so on. Then, he goes on talking about “cool hangouts” with his barkada so, in my mind I’m already thinking..
I’m just really not interested to have a chitchat or anything because one, i came there to party and second, I find him boring and pretty self-centered (since he just keep talking about himself rolls eyes) so I thank the Gods that my friend came and took me away and that’s how the conversation ended.
Okay, so notice that when you talk to people, you find some of them “boring”. It’s like, you have nothing else to talk about but the conversation seems to drag on and on knowing that you already lost interest but the person keeps talking so you’re just like:
“Boring” people become boring when you don’t have the same interests or the same likes. They tend to bore you because what they’re talking about is not something that you would not normally talk about. Let’s say, you’re interested in animes and mangas but the person you’re talking to is more into reality TV shows and books, it would really bore you because it is not something you’re interested in and it’s not something that you do or you like therefore, you find this person uninteresting.
I asked a few of my friends “are people really boring or do we just find them boring because we don’t have the same interest as them?”
Here are some of the answers that I got:
1. Kylie
3rd text reads: “I mean, for example, you find reading fun and just chilling and you have a friend who parties a lot but you don’t want to be called boring [by that said friend]. There are friends that you have a lot in common with and friends who have different hobbies compared to yours.. The other [friends] who have a different hobby than yours are the ones who usually labels you as boring”
2. Sianne
_“ We all have different interests so there’s no such thing as boring. It’s just that [we] don’t have the same interests that’s why [people] don’t understand.” _
3. Angel
4. Cinel
I asked an additional question from Cinel. Here it is:

In my opinion, I think we should give the people we find boring a chance. Why? We learn from them. We see things from a different perspective and we actually get to know the person and maybe find a common ground with them making your friendship bloom. It would be good if they willingly make kwento to you as well(not those forceful ones where you feel the need to go away because of too much stories). This is the one mistake I did when I denied the guy at the party and that is something I should learn from.
