We’ve Changed!

Ok, so it’s safe to say we’ve really let our posts slide. Why? I hear you ask. Well we have evolved into a whole different beast. Our interest lie in film work now (we still love stills though) so we’ve decided to change formats here and kick off with our new name Skysail Studios. If you’re from Wakefield / Leeds and in the music scene chances are you’ve heard of us already. There’s 2 years to catch up on so we’ll fill you in where we left off. Enjoy!

Long Division 2013 is over, And a hugh success it was too. Everybody had an amazing day. Heres another pre session we shot this time with the brilliant JonnyTheFirth. We shot  this in Unity Hall a pretty much derelict concert hall, plans are underway to bring it back to it's former glory.

The third in the series comes from arguably one of the cities finest voices Jasmine Kennedy. We had permission to shoot in the iconic Unity Hall. apparently this was the mail room. Enjoy! In the run up to this years Long Division Festival we are teasing you with some exclusive acoustic sessions from a selection of featured acts. The second in the series comes from Wakefield's adopted Scotts man, Jamie Lockhart. Jamie is well known and loved across the city, Not just for his appreciation of Wakefield's music scene but because he provides at least half of the music in the scene. Here he is under the guise Mi Mye with a thrack titled Great Sucksess. I've always loved this doorway so decided to shoot here, Unfortunately the wind was high, There was a constant alarm going off, And Ross Jarman decided to add some abstract percussion in to the mid song.
