6787. After “The End”, Trigon (stuck in another dimension) finds a way to contact Slade and apologize profusely to him. Slade, still a little skeptical, accepts the apology, and decides to help Trigon get out of the pure dimension of happiness and innocence Raven banished him to. After a while, Slade sees how remorseful Trigon truly is, and they even start dating (despite it being quite awkward since Trigon is still stuck in that other dimension). This is one of the reason we don’t see much of Slade in season 5.

6786. The reason Slade left so quickly after him and the Titans defeated Trigon was not only because he didn’t want them to take him to jail, but also because he needed some time to get over the fact that Trigon really betrayed him. Slade was really heartbroken about the whole thing, especially since Trigon was a lot more than just a deal-maker to him. In fact, he was even more than a friend.

6780. The only reason Trigon betrayed Slade was because he was scared Slade was going to reject/break up with him, since they had recently gotten into a relationship and Trigon felt like Slade was already starting to lose interest in him, despite the fact that Slade was only acting weirdly because of how Raven kept saying that Trigon didn’t have the ability to love, and it was getting to his head.
