Solo hike up Huntington Ravine in NH
Woke up early and was on the trail by 6am. Made good time to the headwall and didn't see a single person the entire way. Known to be one of the most challenging routes up Mt. Washington, the Huntington Ravine trail takes you up some fairIy steep slabs and boulders along Washington's eastern face. I knew it would be an exciting albeit somewhat nerve wrecking trip, but with the crisp fall weather and changing leaves it was time to tackle this White mountain challenge.

Good mix of time-lapse and real-time footage. Far too often, in these environmental/landscape type films, the slower and more intimate pace of life is ignored. I've always thought of time-lapse photography as a way to show movement and patterns we'd otherwise miss. But lately it seems the trend is to speed up anything and everything. Totally missing the point. (Water is my biggest pet peeve. If anything, slow it down. You miss all the complexity and fluid dynamics when you time-lapse a river or stream. I cringe seeing the jittery long exposure waterfall shots)
Anyways... the introduction for this film provides a nice balance. Plus the cloud scenes are incredible. Really achieved a sense of contrasting scales.
