This is a private and selective rp blog for an original character for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, BROOKE SUMMERS , Buffy’s younger identical twin and sister slayer. She was called at the same time as Buffy but didn’t get the memo until it was about time to burn down the school gym and the sudden onset super powers had already TANKED her life. She’s one of the main figures in the fan fiction series Nobody’s Daughter that I swear I will fucking get written and posted eventually. 

Naturally since she’s just RIGHT THERE in the middle of everything canon has had to be edited so she’s not just... There... doing nothing... while Buffy does it all because that just makes no sense as well to account for other ocs from the fic I’ll be rolling out. I use the very rough plotline of the fic series as a base for these changes to canon but for rp consider it a jumping off point/sounding board, it’s not fixed or mandatory to line up with it.

THE IDENTICAL TWIN THING IS KINDA IMPORTANT. It’s literally WHY they’re both called, the slayer line essentially didn’t get the memo that identical twins are not 1 person and that the embryo decided to be an overachiever. Normally in magic and mysticism twins are seen as just connected/very close and not so literally considered as 2 parts of 1 whole. The girls tend to share slayer dreams or have somehow interconnected ones, will die exactly when the other dies regardless of whether the other twin was even in danger and can be effected by spells that only one was targeted by ( ex. when Buffy gets depowered on Halloween Brooke is reduced in strength by 50% ) . This is not how it would work with fraternal twin potentials at all and they are the first set of identical twins to be called so honestly we’re only scratching the surface of potential weirdness with those examples i just gave.

Gently shifting my way over to more plotted out stuff and gauging the interest in certain characters, especially ones like Brooke here who'd end up very interlocking lore heavy.

One would have thoughts that after the passage of so many years, Jo would have at least be able to tell the key differences between her mother and her aunt; a wishful thinking, really, considering that the differences in between those two were so small, one had to look them through a magnifying glass. Freaking identical twins. But, at least, nineteen years and a detective’s degree later, Jo had finally pieced together the difference ― one was vulgar and the other was… Well, significantly less vulgar.

So, the chainsaw comment? That was the dead give-away of who she was actually talking to. Shoulders eased as they drew inwards and a hand came to rub through her features before altogether cupping her forehead.

❛  Okay, that is just… disturbing. Why would someone deep-throat a freaking chainsaw ? ❜  It was the way conversations rolled with her aunt; asking questions that could potentially have her re-evaluating the entirety of her life ― and suddenly, she found herself pondering whether the other knew the sound of it because she had actually tried it. She wouldn’t exactly put it past her, but even for Brooke, that was a far-fetched scenario… right ? ❛  I don’t have much to do, just look into some spell ingredients for Willow. I’ll probably have to order them online. ❜

Ah, so that’s where Buffy’s literalism went to. “ It’s a hyperbole kiddo, funny haha metaphor. People don’t really deepthroat chainsaws. They’re too big for human mouths let alone esophagi. ” She puts a hand on Jo’s forehead, checking her temp. Maybe it was just her brains cooking in her skull ? She was pretty sure she hadn’t inherited her dad’s stupidity. 

“ Yeah I’ll handle it. Just gimme the list, we will not be having fever induced oopsies in this house. Now what do you want for breakfast kiddo ? ”
