Hi everyone! Long time no see from last year!! I am excited to host this event again, this time with an emphasis on Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector!

As before, feel free to draw one, two, a random assortment, or ALL of the prompts you see here for each day of January! Some are left more vague on purpose to inspire creativity, but you have complete freedom to interpret each prompt however you wish!

Only played the original Citizen Sleeper? We'd love to have you participate anyway and anyone is more than welcome to use last year's promptlist, which is centered on the first game.

Don't forget to put your artwork in the Citizen Sleeper January tag so others can find it!!

Yo I just accidentally left with Lem and Mina and ended the game thinking a cutscene would stop me from officially boarding the ship 😂 thank god that it auto saved directly before the departure i am not done with the eye! Im not done with bliss moritz ankhita feng!! DANG!!!!! I was like this is feeling end gamey whats going on!! It was so sad, bittersweet. I loved that we got to learn a little about the person behind our sleeper though, that they got to see who they were. So interesting yet scary how sleeper decided to take over and live better than the person, or they/themselves, did when they were human

Here's the concept art of older Mina, along with the developer's explanation as to why the scene was scrapped. I highly recommend getting "The Art of Citizen Sleeper" artbook—it's only about $10 on Steam or Itch.io. Though be wary, the book contains spoilers for the game, so you might want to complete everything you want to see before diving in.

Summary: It was another exhausting cycle gone by for the Sleeper. Another cycle feeling torn and broken, trying to keep it together, always at risk of decaying and breaking from external stress.

During each stop on their travels, the Sleeper has been relentlessly looking for clues, finding ways to understand what is happening to their body and how to stop Laine from tracking them. But the search has been arduous, grimy, tiresome…

And now, they've got nothing left to do but put their declining body to rest for the cycle... Until someone comes along and gives them a little more than a rest can fix.
