@resolutepath sent "Leave me out of it, I am not going." [ drops bakugou here ]
Bones Starters
“I don’t think you heard what I just said.” Shota says, using his more commanding tone with his most unruly student. “The entire class is participating in this exercise. You are part of this class, so you will be a part of this.” He places his hand on the packet he’d placed on Bakugou’s desk and pushes it closer to him.
“You are not above schoolwork, Bakugou. Each exercise and task I give you students is an action that will lead you to a more successful hero career.” The exercise is honestly something Bakugou is probably familiar with, if the stories of his provisional license remedial lessons are to be believed. A trip, to a local elementary school. Admittedly, Shota didn’t think this was the most useful exercise, but it was necessary for the public image of the school.
So it’s happening, even if he (like he’s sure Bakugpu does) thinks it’s stupid.
@resolutepath sent "You're bad with people, okay? No use being offended by the fact." [ chucks Hawks @ u ]
Bones Starters
“You’ve mistaken my annoyance for being offended.” He says coldly.
It’s no secret Shota hates the media, and he doesn’t hate heroes who thrive in the limelight but he would rather not be around them. Hawks is a prime example. A young hotshot hero... Cocky, surely. Immature, of course.
He’s agreed to meet with him to talk about Tokoyami’s internship and a few concerns in that ball park. They went to a small cafe to talk, but it took no time at all for someone with a camera and questions to descend upon their table. He tolerates it for all of a minute before he gets up, places money on the table, and exits the cafe, tugging her scarf around himself. He completely ignores anything directed at him.
Hawks caught up with him eventually, and now they’re walking side by side and away from the cameras and reporters. “I do just fine with people. It’s not my job to get cozy with the press. I’m a hero, not a figurehead.”

He can’t help the chuckle he stifles behind his hand, even though no one is there to hear him laugh at his friend’s bumbling. He shakes his head as he types out a response.

He does just that, but he also adds for Hizashi’s sake,
[TXT] Present Mic ➜ Though I personally think you avoiding your feelings for Satsuka isn’t rational. Are you sure this truly was an accident?

@4evermighty sent “Well, looks like someone’s had a bad day.”
From a meme somewhere-
“That’s an understatement.” He grumbles, slowly opening one eye to look up at his colleague. He’s bundled up in his sleeping bag, resting on the couch in the teachers lounge. As fulfilling as being a teacher can be, it was also exhausting, and often frustrating. “Do you need something from me?”
@guardcdhcarts sent “What? What did they say? No, I’m fighting them. No, don’t care. Let me at them.” -Hizashi
From a Meme I don’t Wanna Track Down
“Hm?” Shouta looks over at his friend and colleague. They’re out for the monthly event where the UA teachers all went out, mostly to blow off some steam that’s built up over the last month of teaching their rowdy students.
Shouta has just returned from the bathroom and indeed, it seemed like he’d gotten into some sort of altercation on his way back. In truth, he’d simply bumped into a guy who had stumbled in his path. The man had slurred soem insults at him, but Shouta could barely hear him. But the look on his face probably said enough.
“Oh. Nothing, I could barely understand what he was saying-” He resettles in his bar stool beside Hizashi. “You’re not fighting anyone. Sit down, you’re acting like a teenager. You’re thirty-one.”

**thinking about my previous anon hate and how right they were
shinsoutm:
hitoshi laughs, but the sound is bitter and cruel. “ a miracle? no. it’d be a miracle if any of it had been real. they told me what they showed you. the ashes in the urn, the pictures of the scene. it was all faked. all a show for the cameras, so nobody would suspect me popping up halfway across the country under a fake name three months later. this wasn’t a miracle. just a bunch of assholes manipulating my family so they could use me as their pawn. ” his tone betrays nothing of his feelings. he knows being angry at the commission won’t fix anything, not now. they know too much about what he’s done, and he knows too much about what they do. they’re at a stalemate.
he isn’t even sure he wants to be back. not yet. it’s only been days since he came back from that mission, days he spent passed out on the couch of his shitty apartment. he can’t remember the last thing he ate, and he knows this coffee is the closest he’s come to water since he returned. he drinks it down, emptying his cup and getting up to pour another from the pot. “ i haven’t told anyone else. and i’d appreciate if you and satsuka kept this to yourselves. ” he can’t see itoshi, let alone nomiko, yet. not now.
He isn’t used to that sound. His laugh had always been genuine. It sounds weirdly hollow now.
He can’t explain exactly how he feels. Words rarely come to him easily when it came to emotions. But... He’s no stranger to loss. From a young age he’s had those dear to him torn from his life. Violently. Oboro. Kayama. So many others, but losing Hitoshi had been on another level. It was like a part of him was gone.
He also isn’t a stranger to having loss be undone. With Oboro, he had somehow found his way back... But he wasn’t the same. Twisted. Warped. He refuses to believe that’s what’s happened to the young man in front of him. He won’t let the thought even enter his mind.
Just a bunch of assholes manipulating my family so they could use me as their pawn.
His stomach drops. His family. That was them. He’s sure his real parents had been given the same story as he and Satsuka had been given. But he doubts they mourned the way they did. He doubts that his mother cried like Satsuka did.
“Bastards..” He mumbles to himself, finally going to adjust his prosthetic a little, since the pain was hard to ignore now. He looks up, though. “You... Haven’t told them?” He asks quietly. He understands why, actually. He’d likely do the same thing. “I won’t, but you’ll have to talk to Satsuka. She works with Itoshi now. He teaches at UA if you’d believe that.” He shakes his head, “Never thought he’d make it but he’s done really well for himself.”
He can’t mention Nomiko. He’s hardly seen her in the past five years. Anything he says might end up being a lie.
Parental Bond Starters
“Look, you’re my kid, of course I wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you.”
“I know we’re not really related, but I still think of you as a kid. And I’m proud of you.”
“Come on, you’re gonna be late! I’ll drive you.”
“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call.”
“If they mess with you again, you tell me, alright?”
“Hey, is it okay to call you mom/dad?”
“Are you able to sign this form for me?”
“Thanks. For taking care of me.”
“Why do you need to know? What are you, my parent?”
“Thanks, mo— I MEAN [NAME]—”
“Thanks, da— I MEAN [NAME]—”
Platonic Bond Starters
“Well, looks like someone’s had a bad day.”
“What? What did they say? No, I’m fighting them. No, don’t care. Let me at them.”
“Steal a fry off my plate again, see what happens.”
“I know I don’t ask for this stuff, but can you like, cuddle me? Sorry if it’s weird.”
“Does my hair look ok?”
“I haven’t told anyone else. You’re my best friend, so of course I’d tell you first.”
“Let’s just play mario kart. Let me beat your ass.”
“Hey, you need help with that? I got you.”
