Never thought being a online author for 4 and a ½ years I would use my talent to do something like this. (But I have free will so...)
— EDIT: This is now canon everybody, This takes place right after Journal Entry 15, Unless asked to be changed, for now it stays like this.—
Journal Entry: Yonderly Ravel.
He wasn't afraid, his curious had strikened him now seeing the red tank engine with fourteen legs, that's was it no? Sir Topham Hatt tipped his hat in some kind of curiously yet understanding.
No one dervesed this kind of fate, not the engines, and specifically not humans at all, Burnett Stone glanced to the side, seeing that Sir Topham Hatt was taking it all In. "...Topham."
Snapping out of his daze as he did a quick cough, fisted hand covering his mouth before clearing his throat. "Right..." He turned back to the red engine, yellow-golden eyes staring down at the man, yet Sir Topham Hatt didnt flinch.
"Can you speak?" Sir Topham Hatt asked with a natural face, The red tank engine; or Dexter by now didn't know much, first he got a job, now he's this again.
It felt wrong for his body yet, after a moment as his claws digged into the ground, he opened his mouth to reveal those jaws, but he wouldn't use them. "...Y...yes." Sir Topham Hatt smiled, Mr. Conductor took a moment to sigh, taking off his hat to fix his hair.
"Sir Topham Hatt, sir. With all do respects, what are we suppose to do with this now?" Mr. Conductor asked, glancing to the tophatted man, Sir Topham Hatt glanced away for a moment, silent but Burnett Stone spoke up. "Pardon me Conducter, ...but it's also to see if the boy still has his mind." Burnett Stone gestured to Dexter, who was just sitting there, Lady had walked over to sit down next to him, for emotional support of course.
Lily had also joined too, sitting down on top of Lady's back, hesitanting but with a small nudge from Lady, stroked the back of the grey fur, it felt weird... yet, comforting at the same time. Lily was complexed, this was her own species, but here she was; petting him like seeing a dog for the first time.
Sir Topham Hatt, Burnett Stone & Mr. Conductor all chatted for a while, It wasn't tension no but they needed to figure out a way, If humans could get infection, who else was next?
"We need to find something that hasn't been affected yet..." Mr. Conductor mumbled, Burnett Stone titled his head. "How so? Most of Sodor is contaminated by the infected." Sir Topham Hatt nodded in agreement.
Before anyone could do anything; the silence was broken by Lily nervous coughing as they glanced at her.
The young girl was staring at her hoodie nervously, hand tugging on a loose string before sliding off Lady, Lady titled her body to make sure the girl landed safe.
She could feel all eyes on her, a part of her wanted to jump in a hole and bury herself under but the other half wanted to confront the fear. Without a word she glanced up at the three man. "...There someone that might help us..."
Mr. Conductor raised a brow, while Sir Topham Hatt turned to her; "Well now Lily? Don't keep us waiting." She looked away nervously "I know this old classmates and she— I mean-" She stumbled over her words for a moment, Lady let out a small noise mixed with a sigh and a engine purr.
Lily looked down; "...Sorry, they doesn't go by She anymore..." They? Sir Topham Hatt and Burnett Stone raised a eyebrow. Lily contuined; "...we weren't friends, but we did share the same class... I...I think they're still here I believe."
No one spoke for a moment, only the sounds of Lady humming as audible. But then Sir Topham Hatt opened his mouth.
"...Lily," She glanced at the man, who had his curious piqued up, "If you don't mind me asking; Does this person you talk about have anything to do with this?"
Lily held his gaze for a hot minute but she murmered something under her breath, Burnett Stone raised a brow, yet she repeated it louder.
...Sir Topham Hatt mind blanked for a second, a engine? What could she be talking...
...The silence was broken by Sir Topham Hatt turning his body away for a moment, hand covering his face but Mr. Conductor could see that his face had hardened into something unreadable. "...Sir Topham Hatt?" He didnt answer as he grabbed his umbrella before glancing back at everyone.
"Come along, we have something to do." That was all he said before he walked out of the area, All five of them glanced at eachother before Burnett Stone & Lily hopped onto Lady as she got up, while Mr. Conductor stayed with Dexter as they tailed right behind Sir Topham Hatt.
What could he be talking about?
The beautiful lush green seem to dim in the dull light from the sky, the grass felt softer then what he used to feel, but yet...
There was a purpose wasn't it?
Sir Topham Hatt hadn't said a word, not a single one, It concerned Mr. Conductor alongside Lily the most, by the time they reach the main area of the forest, he had stopped completely.
The Crew slowed down behind him, Infront of them all was a damp area, full of hanging willows and stamps of old bark. Mr. Conductor approached the man side cautiously.
"Sir Topham Hatt, what are we doing here...?" He started out quietly, hands going to his side. "...It's looks like a dead end you brought us." He didn't say anything for a minute but;
"This, my good man is not a dead end..." He finally replied, eyes looking forward as he raised his head. "This...is a path." Lily and Burnett Stone perked up, while Lady gave a small weak huff of steam, Dexter looked a bit concerned.
"...For what?" Mr. Conductor asked, feeling a bead of sweat on his neck. "...For—"
A gasp escaped them all as they dodged a dagger, the dagger stabbed into the tree, the dent craving from the force itself. Lady gave a small defensive growl as she tensed up, fur standing on edge, Dexter was also on end, claws scratching agaisnt the grass.
Mr. Conductor was shocked, Sir Topham Hatt on the other hand was also shocked but he masked it under his professionalism, staring forward before he spoke again; "...It's best now you reveal yourself."
Burnett Stone turned to him and raised a brow, is he crazy? Or so he thought...
After a moment of silence, something crunched the grass, then again, again, again...
They all Inbraced for what was about to happen, Lady and Dexter stayed on edge, Lily stayed behind Lady while Burnett Stone and Mr. Conductor stepped back, fists clutched.
The person had a weird skin, burned, charred? The scars were horryfing, like frankincense coming to life; hair messy and flayed, and wearing a dark blanket that they held with their left arm, while their right arm spinned out a sharp needle, twirling it before grabbing it by the bottom.
The face could be described as; Sinster, dull eyes that once seem to shine, cold, heartless and broken, with their mouth a tiny frown.
The silence between the person and the group seem to go on, but then, the person...smiled? Immediately everyone tensed up even further.
Sir Topham Hatt only stared at the person, eyes narrowed with sterness before the person let out a small weak chuckle and stepped forward, Lady was about to growl but Sir Topham Hatt raised a hand up, surpising everyone.
"...Topham! What on earth are you doing?!" Burnett Stone mumbled worried as the person approached until they were 5 meters apart, the blanket had covered them from their chest to feet, but unexpectedly; they closed their eyes and...
...what? It took everyone off guard as Sir Topham Hatt sighed quietly, the person got back up, still with that smile and opened their mouth.
