For the last several weeks, I've been looking back on a hellish 2020 and first half of 2021 and thinking about what I want out of my life going forward. I've been weighing those things against my limited energy, time, inspiration, and health, trying to figure out if RP still fits into the picture.
I’ve done most of what I wanted to do with this blog. I don't have the urge or ability to do any more, and forcing myself to try anyway so I don't have to let go isn’t good for me. It’s also been creating promises of activity I can’t fulfill, and that’s not fair to anyone else either. I have loved this blog and collaborating with others to tell stories more than I will ever be able to say, but all things must eventually come to their end, and I think it's time to let this blog rest. I might still use it to read Tumblr posts, but I will no longer be RPing.
This also means I will stop hosting gathering nights at his club, and any time I go to Smokestreams, it’ll be OOC. I just don’t have the drive for IC anymore.
I know my characters are involved in a couple of unfinished things, and I sincerely apologize for any interruptions or disappointments, but I can't keep going. Here is a little info so I don’t leave you all hanging in the dark:
WJ-mun, you can write Slendy in your posts sometimes if you need and want. If you'd rather find another way to do your plot, I totally understand.
Aside from that, everyone will live to be comfortably old and as happy as any Cybertronian who survived the war can be. Rumble eventually succeeds as a writer of action-oriented fiction. Frenzy discovers that he prefers doing lots of short term jobs because he never gets bored. Zori helps at a newly built therapy spot. Laserbeak and Buzzsaw settle their beefs with one another and open a really fancy snack shop. Ravage and Chimera choose to stick with Slendy, who eventually closes his club; the three of them quietly travel the multiverse, always looking for something new to see. (Slendy makes sure to set aside time to spend with his amica and other partners between each trip.)
‘Offscreen’, they all still contact or spend a little time with characters they know. It’s the sort of conversation or meeting most real life people have; no big, complex stuff that would require mun input.
Anyway, I guess that's that. Thank you for all the fun times. I hope you will all have more of them in your own futures.
