After the arrival of bionic arms and mind-controlled exoskeletons, it was only a matter of time before we began translating these new technologies into sex toys. The Ambrosia Vibe isn’t as sophisticated as other bionic technologies, but it is one step on the path to having that detachable penis you always wanted.
Holy shit. If they make realistic looking versions of this…I could actually feel right…

Hasan Kale

Hello! From a hospital/emergency perspective, what is the best alternative to an alert bracelet? I've heard of people keeping an alert card in their purse instead, but I don't know how effective this actually is? I am still getting tests, but it looks like I prob. have a rare condition that'll need a bracelet, but I also have an (unrelated) pain condition that makes it difficult for me to wear jewellery on bad flare-up days, so I can't consistently wear an alert bracelet, and this worries me :(
If you come into the ER unable to identify yourself and without anyone accompanying you who can help, one of the first things we do is look in your wallet for ID. I keep my emergency medical info directly behind my driver’s license in my wallet for this reason.
If it’s only metal bracelets that you can’t tolerate, there are a lot of alternative types of medical alert jewelry. You can get a bracelet with a rubber or fabric band if metal sensitivity is the issue, or a necklace if pressure on your wrist is the problem. However, if you don’t want anything touching your skin, I’d go for a wallet card; there are a couple alternatives like shoe tags and keychains, but those would be a lot easier for ER staff to miss.
Also: I’ve seen people carry USB drives with their medical history, and it seems clever, but I don’t recommend this. A lot of medical staff are not technologically competent (yes, it’s terrifying) and don’t know what a USB drive is or how to open it. Better to just carry around a piece of paper if you need to give a detailed medical history and med list.
