rugged up in an oversized sweater and floral pink pyjama pants, she didn't say much as she sat next to him by the sofa. Fresh out of the shower and smelling strongly of flowers and warmth, her body fell to the side, dropping into his lap before she just curled herself into him.

She was like a big fluffy kitty, snuggled up on his lap, if he listened carefully he could probably hear a purr.  It was relaxing, being here with her, he felt welcome in her home; a far cry from his own shoddy rooftop apartment.  She’d dragged him to stay over time and time again, but it wasn’t until recently did he feel like less of a burden between her walls.  “Did you use some new shampoo?”

She didn’t even have to answer him, it was as if she was showing off her new products to him without a word.  Not that he minded, her presence was calming, a sensation he’d never experienced before in another person; he could sit here with her all night.  Fingers, scarred from his vigilante work, run through her blonde locks, soft and still slightly damp.  “You’re too good to me you know.”
