Walked around Lake Thunderbird with my father the other day. There's so much wildlife to be admired and so many beautiful things to find.
My roommate bought a baby corn snake. <3
I’ve been noticing a surprising amount of negativity lately and I can’t seem to understand where it’s coming from, so I just wanted to say a few things. First, breathe. It’s going to be okay. If something is stressing you out, take a step back to collect yourself. Things have a way of working themselves out. Yes, hard work and dedication are key, but so is keeping a level head. Always be kind to others, everyone is going through something. However, if you start to notice yourself being short with someone or so on, ask yourself what the real issue is. Everybody has bad days and sometimes it can make us irritable, so apologize whenever your frustration is redirected, but also forgive yourself. If someone is proud of an accomplishment, congratulate them. Nobody cares if you think you can do it better, if a person worked on something and they’re satisfied with it, don’t take that away from them. Generally, don’t say anything unless it actually contributes to conversation. What purpose does putting down someone else serve? Again, if you find yourself doing this, take some time to reflect on your attitude. And if someone does this to you, remember that it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.
Most importantly, take time to appreciate all of the small things. I know this gets said a lot, but that’s because it needs to be said. Life can sometimes seem like it’s moving a thousand miles a minute, so don’t let yourself get caught up in all of the wrong things. Don’t dwell all day over something that happened that is irrelevant to your wellbeing. Be present, appreciate all of the tiny great moments throughout your day, sink into that feeling of contentment and let it become you. When you’re faced with a moment of negativity, remember that it’s just that: a moment, let it pass by and it will not affect you.
TL;DR just be cool, there’s power in positivity
Had tons of fun today with some good friends and spent a lot of time in my favorite place in Oklahoma.

I have many different homes. The first, my cat’s head nuzzling against my neck. The second, the look in your eyes when you smile. The third, when I hold a pen in my hand. And I believe there are others waiting for me.
