good morning zeff injured his leg to save sanji from drowning then amputated his own leg and ate it just so sanji could have all of the food when they ended up stranded for 85 days. zeff didn’t even know sanji at this point. prior to this sanji had barely experienced any amount of care so he couldn’t fathom why anyone would go to such lengths to save him, especially a stranger since sanji’s own blood family had done nothing but abuse him and leave him to die all alone in a cell
