What Lurks in the Dark [closed with twomutesplusone]

Scribe Violeta regrets agreeing to this mission. At first, many Scribes wished to venture to the Farthering - the land outside of the walls of the Grand City. There was a forest, one which many citizens had gone missing; most have never been found, others rumored to have been torn to pieces. Scribes were people of logic and magic, not ones to fall prey to the fears of normal man, for they knew rumors were just that. However, the first Scribe never returned. The next two disappeared; so did the fourth and fifth, and so on. The Elders stopped sending Scribes. However, the rumors got worse and the citizens began to fear, to doubt. So, the Elders called for another. No one was willing, not even for the steadily increasing sum. Finally, Violeta decided she would try. A single mother, she decided she needed the money. Besides, rumors were just that, right?

Wrong. The first step into the forest and she knew. She couldn’t turn back; however, her son needed her to do this and to return alive, so she trekked onward, the chilled wind biting her face, the ‘evil’ making her tattoos glow. All demons and creatures non-human made her glow, which was embarrassing most of the time. Now, however, it reminded her of what was waiting for her in the dark.

The forest was eerily quiet except for the wind, which carried the sounds of things malevolent and inhuman. She could feel eyes watching her, waiting. These creatures rarely saw the light of day if ever, so the glow emanating from her both attracted their attention and repelled them away. There was the skittering across leaves and branches if she came too near to where the creatures were hiding.

One pair of eyes peeked from where they were hiding, a faint giggling coming from their direction.

Violeta stepped lightly, dancing away from the creatures she briefly caught sight of or barely heard. Her silver eyes darting around, regretting not listening to the villagers about bring a weapon. She said she only needed her words and magic. What good were words with non-humaniods? Or even the inhuman?

She flinched from the giggling, her light going out as her concentration broke. She shivered and cursed in an eldish language, the only light coming from her tattoos. She held her shaking hand to her chest, trying to ‘relight’. However, her focus was to far gone at this point for her to even generate the barest of sparks.

The childish giggling got closer as more creatures peeked out from the trees, curious about the new creature with the lights on her skin. The trees seemed to move closer to her - it was almost claustrophobic. Suddenly, a mysterious white figure appeared in the distance, skipping into the forest - the source of the giggling!

“Hello, my darling~!" the mech chimed, scooping up the fox into his servos and cradling her. "I missed jou~”

"I missed you too!" FoxTrot nuzzled under his chin. "How have you been?"

"I am vell, I suppose," Blitz replied, "I was very small for a time... Then I had vork to catch up vith." His faces flipped to Hothead, who looked down at her and tilted his helm. "How have jou been?"

Blitz grinned widely at her booping, giggling quietly. “I cannot try organic food like zhat und process it, but it zounds delicious~ Is it just like normal rocks? I’d hate to bite into zhat!”

"Ah I see, well it’s hard sugar. Very sweet, and very solid…It’s made into rod-shapes so you can hold it and bite into it" she couldn’t help but laugh at him " I don’t eat rocks! Bleh"

"Jour teeth vould probably hurt if jou tried eating rocks," Blitzwing replied, "zhough I Vould try zhis 'rock candy' if zhey made it vith energon..." He might have licked his lips at the thought.

She made a soft little squeak nose, before lightly, and very weakly papping at his faceplate, in an attempt to keep her cheeky ‘braver’ face up

"Nuu…you’re going to make me blush again…"

“Zehehehee… Jou organics look zo cute vhen jou get flustered~ Jou’re zhe zilly vones." A large digit papped her head. "Jou goof~!”

And tiny digits tried to latch onto his singular one, as her playfully pink face looked at him, her tongue sticking out

"…just because we blush easily, don’t mean we’re silly" she replied, gently booping his hand

"True, but zhat von't change my mind~ after all," Random chirped, scooping her up into his hands and snuggling her with his face, "zome of my kind look just as silly as organics do vhen zhey blush~!"

M!A: Human AU for the week of November 24th! Get together with family and friends and fill up on turkey if Thanksgiving's your thing. If not, 'tis still the best time of year to find someone to cuddle with by a fire.

"I'm not a fan of Thanksgiving, normally," Adolphus murmured to himself, "But... I can't help but to look forward to it nowadays. I suppose it's because I'm actually spending it vith a family -- my family... Hm."He seemed to be doing some Christmas shopping, getting people some small thig that they would like. He'd get some bigger stuff later.

“Zusan sounds like a cutie~ I’d like to get up close und personal~!" Random cackled, "I bet she’s sassy up close~”

"Jour arm vill make do until ve reach jour house," the tiny nagamech simply replied, his tiny red optics glowing in the darkness of her sleeve as his helm retreated further in.

Every so often, the tiny mech would peek his helm out of the sleeve to look around, still awed by the fact that he is very tiny and that everything else is bigger than him. That just made him retreat back into the sleeve, where his tail curled around her arm just a bit tighter.

He waited inside patiently before Inc pulled out the snake tank; when her hand was inside, he slipped out and pressed against the tank walls. "I zhink I would go crazy if I vere stuck in here," he murmured dryly, "zhough... I never realized how lovely zome organic creatures look up close..."

She's just going to sit on Blitzy's shoulder, and give his cheek a little kiss. Because she's in one of those cheeky 'kiss and see what happens' moods

He was about to greet the smaller visitor when she kissed him on the cheek. Hothead was around at that moment - and he may or may not have blushed intensely afterward.

“… Hello.”

"Zhat’s… Zhat’s different," Icy replied, somewhat shocked. "At least jou’re safe." A digit patted the top of her head.

She seemed surprised at that little hint of shock, but in any case, she patted his digit reassuringly

"Don’t you worry, I’m always safe! Worst that coulda happened is if I’d gotten lost, but! I’d gotten a 10 minute walk away from my home, so I almost got there hehe"

"I suppose... Ooh! Zhat reminds me of zhe time I vas trying to do loop-de-loops in zhe air when buzzed vith high grade und I ended up nosecone-deep into zhe ground~! Zhat vas fun~" the black face sighed happily.

"A snake, you say?" Icy inquired with interest, curling his servos around her wrist in the sleeve. "I don’t zhink I have visited it, zhough I believe I vas near it at vone point… Could ve please go?"

"Yeah , she’s a twelve feet long burmese python. I call her Susan" she explained, moving her wrist near her face so she could peek inside her sleeve

"And of course! I can get you a hot water bottle or, something warmer to rest on Blitz. I can’t imagine it’s any fun being stuck inside a sleeve all day"

Random flipped into face and cackled, his glossa slipping out to lick her other side - feeling as hot as Hothead’s tongue. Another giggle escaped him as he hugged her close to him.

Trying to gently pap him, never seemed to work, so she seemed to give in, letting him hug her as she cuddled back, shuddering after he’d licked the other side of her neck

"Yer…lucky I’m too small to get you back for that" she said, a smile on her face " …silly goof"
