One time i️ met this guy who was a primary care doctor and i️ found out he was really into ~kink~. I️ remember he told me that a woman patient came into urgent care with intestinal pain, and he had to give her a rectal exam. In one of my anatomy classes as an undergrad we were examining a female cadaver’s abdomen. The male doctor teaching us told us that we might find artificial rips in the peritoneum because “this one has been pretty raped” (by which he presumably meant damaged by previous students). Honestly I’ve never felt so fucking creeped out and disgusted.

I rea on a newspaper a few years ago than in France where I live, medical students are sometimes asked to give a vaginal exam on women under anesthesia, to practice, because “the women never agree to it when awake”… I don’t want to look it up for fear that it might be true or a common practice. There was quite a stir at that time though. No one talks about it anymore. Maybe because it might cause a national scandal? I’m exhausted.

Here the doctor they’re interviewing claims they’d never do that, but when he’s asked if they tell the women a student is going to give them a vaginal exam, he’s like “sometimes we forget I guess? lol who cares anyway we’re treating them”
