But when you reached the age of 14 you began to rebel against him because of his constant absence from you
You would talk on the phone purposely loud to your friends about how lucky they were that their parents actually showed up for them
You began smoking regularly to the point where Michael would come home after a long week of killing and the house would reek of smoke
Of course he confronted you about it but you mostly just hurled insults at him and asked him why he cared so much if he was never here
He could tolerate a lot considering he had done many worse things in his youth like y’know killing people
But he drew the line when you began disappearing all night to go binge drinking with friends
He knew of the many dangers that lurked in dark alleyways, he was one of them so the thought of you out there, drunk and vulnerable angered him beyond belief
He sat you down and did his best to get his point across to you through sign language but you just ignored him or fought back with him
He would never ever become physical with you in any way but that doesn’t mean he won’t scare you with the thought of it
He would become angry and start smashing things around you, successfully scaring you into agreeing to cool it with the attitude and stop all of your bad habits

Bo Sinclair
In my imagination bo seems like he would get along with his kid better if they had some attitude and rebellion in them
So when you had entered your rebellious phase bo thought he would be fine and in fact you guys would bond over the experience
But what Bo didn’t know was that you would rebel different from most people your age
You had your uncle Lester enrol you in the local high school outside of Ambrose and he would drive you there every morning and pick you up after
You became a top of the class, straight A student
The kind of student that Bo hated when he was in school
The goody two shoes act gave Bo a physical reaction of disgust so you carried it on
Day after day of spite studying so you could have the satisfaction of giving Bo your report card which was practically shining from how hard you had worked
You would also use big words to insult him like he would call you a little shit and you would start an entire character assassination which half of Bo couldn’t actually understand but he just knew that it was an insult
He would complain to the brothers who would promptly be like “you have the perfect kid what are you complaining about?”
Vincent Sinclair
Vincent and you had been close for a while
He loved you more then anyone else in the world and would give anything to make you smile
But sometimes he goes a bit overboard
Like the time you had talked about your new friends and you had seemed so happy so Vincent suggested they come over
But while you thought he had innocent intentions he actually did something that you had to spend years processing
When your friends had entered your home your uncle Bo had asked you to help him get something from the truck
This gave Vincent the perfect opportunity to knock out your friends out and take them down to the basement
When you had gotten back in you assumed your friends went home so you went about your usual routine
It wasn’t until you had gone to bed you had seen them again
At the foot of your bed stood your friend in wax figure form dressed in your old clothes with a permanent smile put in their face
Your father presented it as a some sort of surprise because In Vincent’s eyes he was giving you something that always made you smile in a permanent non changing form
Because of this you distanced yourself from Vincent
You weren’t rebellious in the usual party animal way, more in a avoid and isolate kind of rebellious
And believe it or not that hurt Vincent more, you really couldn’t stand to be in the same room as him
But when you had decided to stay with your uncle Lester in the village for a week, only really returning to get clothes, Vincent drew the line and confronted you
You, obviously angered by the fact he didn’t understand why you were upset, argued with him until your throat was sore
Vincent only really got your point when you broke down crying because of how frustrated you were
It took a while to fully heal your relationship but you both got to a healthy point again
He does sometimes wish he could go back up the way you were before where you would both cling to each other but he understands you need to set boundaries and respects that
Thomas Hewitt
Well the Hewitt residence is fully messed up
So add an angsty teenager to the mix and you get absolute chaos
I think you wouldn’t just rebel against your father but the entire family
Because of their Christian beliefs you would buy shirts that have what Luda May would call “devil signs”
You would at some point get your tongue pierced and it would piss your grandma off thoroughly
You dad would be more worried why you didn’t want to spend time with his as much any more and when you get your tongue pierced his worries will increase because he thinks you “mutilating” yourself is a cry for help
He’ll have a gentle talk with you and ask you why you’ve been acting like this lately and you talk to him about your frustrations and how you can never express yourself without being seen as a “devil worshipping degenerate”
He’ll support you and tells you he loves you no matter what
Until you drop the bomb
“Hey dad I just wanted to let you know I think I want to be vegetarian”

Asa couldn’t quite tell you why he kept you around
He tells himself that he did it to keep up public image but he knows that’s not true
He was lonely so when his latest victim had given birth and you came along he just couldn’t stop himself from taking you home
But because of Asa’s hobby he is obsessed with public image and everyone has a part to play in this, even you
You would have to keep perfect grades and keep yourself eating healthily and being the all round perfect child
If you didn’t you would be ignored until you corrected your mistake and If you disobeyed him he would treat you as if you were one of his victims at the hotel minus the torture
So when you rebel you would have to go big or go home to get your fathers attention on you again
You’d start with having your grades drop from straight A’s to D-‘s at best
Then you would go to the hotel and you would patch up your fathers pets which would really piss him off
You even formed a connection with one of them, a man who was kind and gentle towards you and gave you praise whenever you did something, even when you didn’t think you deserve it
You started to visit the hotel with your father more regularly under the deception that you were torturing the man which your father encouraged greatly
He did however find it suspicious that there was never any screams of agony coming from the room so he checked it out for himself
When he found out about your connection with the man and how you had began to see him as a second father figure, an intense jealousy came over him
You were meant to be his child not the man’s
The loneliness creeped in slowly and asa realised he had to take action
he called you into a room and killed the man in front of you through torture and at some points made you commit acts under the threat that he would do worse to you
After that experience your bond faded away to the point that when it came time for you to go to college you wouldn’t interact with your father more then a phone call every month or two to check in with your grades
Of course Asa kept tabs on you and watched you regularly to make sure you were safe but he knew he had hurt you deeply with his actions
He began to feel lonely again without you in the home with him so he tried to mend your relationship slowly
It would slowly heal but would never go back to your original bond because of how he had treated you throughout your childhood
He’s a toxic father and even though he loves you, he’s Asa Emory and he will always have a hard time with emotional needs
Yesterday, Milkmen might have been a welcome sight to any member of our neighborhoods. They enter our homes and make idle chat with our families on a daily basis. Today, however, housewives in the Shadyside community fear mortal danger at the sight of the innocent white uniform. Seven women, ranging in age from 22 to 35, were brutally murdered in their own doorways by their friendly neighborhood milkman. Harry Rooker, a Shadyside native, turned his switchblade upon the unsuspecting women in a fit of apparent rage. Husband and children came home to find their wives and mothers slain, causing mass hysteria that rippled across the town. Calls rang into the police department until the early hours of the morning as loved ones lamented their losses.
Police are baffled as to what caused Rooker to turn on his customers, but are urging the public to come forward with any information. Shadyside citizens are advised to stay indoors to avoid any potential threat in case Rooker was not acting alone.
As details emerge we can only hope that the community affected by this horrific tragedy will come together to support the victims and be a source of relief. A/N: Im sure you all know my love for the friendship between luke and Reid!reader so here’s me divulging in that. This idea came to me in a dream so i just had to write it!
I’m tagging the reader as adhd!reader because this is what happens when I get overwhelmed and what works for me as someone who has adhd. I know people who aren’t neurodivergent can also react like this and even those who are can react differently. Like I said, this is based off of my experiences

Everyone knew something was up when you came into the bullpen huffing and already looking upset. Their suspicions were confirmed when you bumped into a corner of a desk and dropped the book in your hand. You muttered a few angry words as you bent down to pick it up and carry it back to the empty desk that was reserved for you. It’s been your desk since you were five and no one dared sit in it.
When you sat at the desk, you tossed the book to the side but it knocked over the small jar of pens and pencils, “Damn it,” you muttered, your voice cracking slightly. You had had enough of today but things just seemed to get worse. As you went to pick up the writing utensils, several of them rolled off the desk and to the ground.

you loved loudly. often telling and showing people just how much you care. but..you also loved in little ways. ways that you didn't even realize you were showing love. ways that Spencer adored more than anything else in the world.
maybe, he thought to himself, he was only noticing these things because he wanted you to love him. he wanted you to feel the way he did. but sometimes you just did the darnedest things and they made his heart absolutely melt.
when he had complimented your desk plants at work, you showed up the next day with one for him. it was a cute little aloe plant which you helped him affectionately name "Planty".
Planty was short lived however. with Spencer's mind constantly occupied with working, reading, and you, he never seemed to remember to water it; despite his eidetic memory. and after a few short months Planty had shriveled up and gone to botanical heaven. (a small service was held in his honor before he was lowered into the trash can).
so, in place of Planty, you got spencer an echeveria succulent. much easier to take care of and practically impossible to kill. this one was named "Newt" after Isaac Newton, of course. unfortunately, and to everyones utter disbelief, spencer managed to kill Newt in less that 6 months. (a service was held for him as well).
and so yesterday, you had walked into work with a tiny potted cactus in hand, warning Spencer to take good care of it. this one, you and him decided to name "Poot" because its funny and you like it.
seeing the way you laughed when he joking brought it up made it all the more endearing. he was so determined to take care of Poot. he spent all night researching that type of cactus. reading up on everything and anything about it. he was determined to keep Poot alive.
when he came into work the next day he was so excited to tell you all he'd learned the night before, knowing you would happily listen.
"y/n! i was reading about cacti yesterday and-" he called out.
he practically ran to your desk as he made his way through the doors of the bullpen.
but Spencer wasn't coordinated enough to practically run.
in his excitement and clumsy quick movements, his leg bumped the corner of his desk quite hard, causing Poot to fall to the ground. in his stumbling he hardly noticed Poot until he heard a heartbreaking crunch under his feet.
wide eyed he stared at the smushed remains of the plant he learned so much about.
"oh no!" you frowned sympathetically, gently picking it up as best you could.
"i was just about to tell you what i learned about it," spencer sniffled, feeling excruciatingly defeated.
"i had a feeling this would happen!" you giggled, walking back over to your desk.
"you had a feeling i would step on Poot?" he asked, a confused laugh escaping his lips.
"no i had a feeling Poot wouldnt make it. granted with your track record i was expecting him to make it at least a month but we'll figure out why you're changing your m.o. later," you joked, trying to make him feel a little better. he chuckled lightly, it did make him feel a little better. "close your eyes and put out your hands."
"oh absolutely not! last time i did this morgan put a lizard in my hand and it peed on me!" he refused.
"i dont have a lizard chilling in my desk drawer just trust me!" you looked up to meet his still skeptical eyes, " please."
his heart melted at how you asked. how could he say no?
he sighed, reluctantly putting out his hands and scrunching his eyes shut. he felt a cool glazed pot in a matter of seconds and when he opened his eyes he saw he was holding what looked like Poot. but it was a little different. this ones leaves were a little shinier and its needles looked a little dull.
"wait.." he wondered aloud.
"i noticed you couldnt keep the last few..." you chose your words carefully, "out of plant heaven. so i got you a rubber Poot!"
Spencer didn't wanna admit that he was getting choked up over something this childish.
"thank you y/n..this means- i just really-" he stammered.
"everyone briefing room now!" hotch interrupted.
"anytime," you smiled at him as you made your way up the stairs.
he followed quickly after, mind still swirling from how considerate you are.
while on the case, you and Spencer were put in charge of entertaining two escaped victims, who were no older than 5, after all the important questions were asked. so there the four of you sat, drawing pictures.
"i don't know what to draw," one of the little girls sighed.
"hmm..." you hummed, over exaggerating a thinking face.
"did you guys know i can read miss y/n's mind?" Spencer asked them.
the two children widened their eyes, shaming their little heads in disbelief.
"its true! he can!" you played along.
"is that what happens to everyone when they get married?" the little boy asked, smile growing.
you and Spencer turned away from each other, each feeling heat grow on your faces. you looked back at one another and in that moment, in that very moment, you could read each others minds. and you couldn't let this little boy down.
"it only happens to some people who get married." he answered, begging his body to stop his cheeks from turning an even darker maroon.
"and he read my mind and he knows exactly what you should draw, right mr. Spencer?" you chuckled.
"right! miss y/n thinks we should all draw our favorite memories." he smiled a heart melting grin at you which you gladly returned.
"exactly!" you clapped your hands as the kids watched in amazement, wondering if mind reading is truly possible.
and so the four of you got to work, scribbling all over your papers with crayon. when you guys were all done, you went around showing your pictures.
the kids had both done drawings involving their parents. you had done one from your childhood, you explained in great detail (and lots of extra silliness) what was going on.
but just as Spencer was about to share his, you two were called out of the room. there was a break in the case because of something one of the children had told morgan.
from there, catching the unsub was relatively smooth sailing and you all were able to save 3 more of the missing children. over all it was an exhausting case so the surprisingly happy ending was exactly what you guys needed.
the jet ride home was a good kind of quiet. a peaceful absence of noise. perfect for thinking.
you thinking about spencer. spencer thinking about you. a mutual, horrendously adorable game of 'try not to let the other person know im staring'.
spencer loved quietly. he loved from afar. he loved through longing glances and overtaken thoughts. he kept his admirations a secret, for fear of them being taken away had they been known. you loved his quiet love. catching him staring every now and then. feeling his fingers graze yours a tad longer than any accidental touch. but he never really had physical evidence of his love for anyone.
and now in his satchel, the physical evidence sat. and he was nervous. oh so very nervous because what if he showed it to you and his fear of love being taken away came true. what if you laughed in his face or didnt want to talk to him.
as if you could read his mind, you came and sat across from him.
"hey." you smiled.
"hi." he glanced at you, returning a tight lipped smile.
"what was your memory that you drew?"
"i uh- its way down somewhere in my satchel ill um just show you when we land i dont feel like rummaging right now," he chuckled nervously.
you put your hands up in surrender, "hey no pressure, you dont have to tell me-"
"no." he interrupted, "i want to tell you. well actually i want to show you, i just. not here."
"ok," you smiled gently.
he finally returned a genuine smile and with that you were back at your seat.
before you could even take a nap you so desperately wanted to take, you guys had landed and ended up in the parking lot.
as usual, spencer was walking you to your car. you two were deep in conversation, like always. there was a level of understanding between the two of you that neither of you had with anyone else o the team. or anyone else in general.
as you got to the door of your cars and said goodnight, spencer pulled out a folded, slightly crumpled piece of paper from his satchel and handed it to you. without another word he got in his car and following his lead you got in yours.
you unfolded the paper to reveal many crude crayon drawing of you and him. in one, you two were meeting for the first time, your cheeks growing warm. in another, you and him were drinking coffee in front of your favorite coffee shop. a bunch of other little moments were sprinkled on the page. in the last one, you two were holding a stack of four plants and the words "botanical heaven" floated above your heads.
and at the bottom of the page, the words "y/n, you're my favorite memory. "
you looked over at him in his car, he had made himself busy. with his ignition. you honked your horn to get his attention, causing him to jump a little.
he looked over at you, a nervous smile resting on his face. you breathed on your window causing it to fog up. as best you could backwards, you wrote him a reply message.
same anon as the family fluff ask here with an additional fluff idea! (because i know personally when i’m not on the swing of writing i like to have lots of options to pick from, but please don’t feel like you have to write them both, or either of them if they’re not your vibe etc) how about gn reader wearing or just generally borrowing clothing/items from a bau team member? my initial thought was maybe derek’s fbi windbreaker and being a little swamped, but some other thoughts i had for characters who i don’t see with this trope too much: perhaps penelope lending reader a bright accessory from her outfit to cheer them up on a rough day, or maybe rossi lending them something fancy of his to help boost their confidence for something, or lastly hotch sort of shyly lending reader a ‘good luck charm’ because jack had heard they had something important coming up and INSISTED they needed a good luck charm (maybe a toy or book of his, or even something of hotch’s that he usually lends to jack for luck leaving hotch flustered to say the least) (bonus: the team seeing it happen whilst the two were making coffee and teasing hotch/cooing over how thoughtful jack is) to be honest this isn’t even an actual request as much as it is i would loveee to hear your thoughts/ideas on the bau lending or having things borrowed by reader

It all started a few months you joined the BAU.
Derek leant you his windbreaker jacket, you were the youngest member of the team, barely out of the academy. Some unsub had tackled you down (the dick) and you had landed on the ground, gathering a few scrapes and bruises but luckily nothing major. You were stood, in the dark, trying to hold back your shiver while you waited for Hotch to finish up so you could go back to the hotel and try to warm up. He silently took it off and draped it over your shoulders. You had mumbled a thanks, smiling gratefully at the man as you wrapped it tightly around you. You had quite a small stature, although it was something you didn’t really mind - it just meant that you found it easy to find baggy clothing. You dressed for comfort more than anything else. Which is exactly what his jacket brought you, the subtle smell of his cologne, his smell. It was like the comfort of an older brother.
A few weeks later, Garcia noticed you weren’t your usual chipper self, and so (in true Garcia fashion) she took off one of the bracelets she had on her wrist and handed it over to you. She wanted to give some of her positivity and it worked a charm. You felt like a weight had lifted off your shoulders. Obviously, you wore it for the rest of the day. Everyone recognised the bracelet when you walked it. It stood out from your usual fashion choices, but no one commented on it.
Rossi was surprisingly happy to lend things to his coworkers (more like family) and it would vary from books to records, to clothes. He lent you a suit he had brought during the early days of the BAU. Your significant other had a plus one to a wedding and you had panicked that you have nothing to wear. Rossi went into full surrogate dad mode (TM) and lent you an outfit. It boosted your confidence massively.
When you broke up with your significant other, Spencer leant you some books. He knew you were feeling lonely and you had mentioned to him that you like to read. You would meet up for coffee and a friendly chat when you finished a book and you would discuss what you thought.
You were making coffee when Hotch approached you, you had an important meeting with Strauss that morning, a review of how you had been getting on but also of your abilities. He approached slightly hesitantly, holding two mysterious objects in his hand. He gave you the object in his right hand, explaining that Jack had heard him wishing you good luck for your meeting and rushed to get his ‘lucky freddy’ a small grey teddy he carried around with him when he needed goodluck. The second item was a small coin that sat in the palm of his hand. ‘That doesn’t look like something Jack would carry round’ you had grinned. He blushed slightly before looking down for a moment, explaining that it was actually something he carried around with him for good luck.
Garcia, who had witnessed this let out an audible ‘aww’ which made you chuckle and Hotch’s blush deepen further.
