woonhak balanced the camera making sure both you and jaehyun were centered. you play with your hands, to which jaehyun notices and moves your hands away. โstop that, it isnโt good for your hands.โ he said turning away immediately hiding the blush creeping up his cheek. woonhak made eye contact with you and grinned proud that he caught that on camera. he clears his throat catching jaehyuns attention before speaking again, โlast episode we introduced you guys to the viewers and slightly talked about your guys life since the breakup. but today weโll be discussing the feelings that remain between you two to see how exes view each other when they end things on good termsโฆlalalala whatever the fuckโฆโ woonhak drifted off his words getting frustrated. โwhatever anyways. between the two of you whose idea was it to end on good terms?โ he asked. you pointed at jaehyun as jaehyun raised his hand โmeโฆโ he said sheepishly as if he was ashamed. โand jaehyun whyโd you want to end on good terms?โ woonhak asked as he drifted the camera over to jaehyun zooming in. โwellโฆyn is a really good person, and if i had to lose her romantically i wouldnt have wanted to lose her platonically.โ he said looking down at his hands avoiding eye contact with anyone around. Woonhak paused before turning the camera over at you who was staring at jaehyun with a blank expression. seriously? thats all he could say? we hadnt talked in 2 years, what do you mean platonically? jaehyun taps on you sending you out of your daze and points over at woonhak whose hiding behind the camera thst is pointed towards you.
โyn?โ woonhak asked as he zoomed into your face, โyeah sorryโ you muttered โthought i lost you there, but how do you feel about jaehyun ending things on good terms?โ you say there for a minute thinking about debating whether to say what youve been holding in or be rational. wait, holding in? you dont think about jaehyun. maybe you did the first week (maybe second) after the breakup but you swore you cut all ties and thoughts about him
โYN!โ woonhak yells, you look up at him to see him a bit worried โare you okay? we can cut the filming if you needโ โno no, its fine. uhm i thought it was the most mature thing to do and im very proud of him for ending things clean.โ yeah so mature of ending a year, almost 2 long relationship over a failing career to which his friends (and yours) are plotting for you two to be together.

cute endinggg 8.5/10 i really liked the superstar plot and the POPBASE DRAMA!!! i think this writer is absolutely excellent and i could have never possibly written something like this nor have the motivation to โ id def recommended this to people who like enemies to lovers arc, however for slow burn, i probably wouldnt considering they basically fall in love at first sight ^^ i also wouldnt reccommend this to someone who has a rendency to root for the second lead or feel empathetic for the antagonist. AS AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS LOVER I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS AND HOW IT BRINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE HOW YOUR PARTNER CAN LOVERS YOU EVEN AFTER SEEING YOUR FLAWS ๐

You found yourself curled up on Jakeโs couch again, a mug of his famous hot chocolate held between your hands. It had been a good few days without seeing each other, life had gotten hectic and youโd felt a little scared to be around him. Your growing feelings combined with the recent news articles had you on edge just as much as it did for Jake. You knew it was unfair to stay away from him for so long, but you were terrified of all these new feelings and situations that were occurring.
โThis sucks,โ Jake sighed, knocking his knee gently against yours a couple of times whilst he dumped his mug down on the table. โI hate having to hide away in my apartment with the curtains closed. Itโs fucking stupid, I feel like a criminal.โ
โI know,โ Jake could hear the frown in your voice without even looking at you, you sounded defeated. โBut I donโt know if I can do this Jake.โ
Those words had his head snapping up to look at you again, his eyes scanned your face and he saw the way you were chewing on your bottom lip with tears brimming in your eyes.
โWhat do you mean darling?โ He asked, hesitating to put a hand on your knee gently, his fingertips barely grazing the skin. It still sent tiny little shockwaves through your body regardless.
You leant over and placed the half empty mug on the coffee table alongside his, wringing your hands together to keep them busy as a nervous habit. Jake let go of your knee to instead grab your hands in his, lacing his fingers with yours and squeezing them gently.
That prompted you to catch his eyes, seeing how he looked at you so softly made you want to fold. You wanted to spill your inner thoughts and feelings to him with just that look, it was a dangerous position to be in.
โI canโt do this Jake, I canโt be some secret. I donโt want to be scared of what I do or say in the fear that something could happen to you or me, I canโt do that.โ
โOh YN,โ Jake sighed, squeezing your hands once again. โIโm sorry you feel like that, I wish I could take that feeling away from you. I really do. I donโt know how to make it better, but I hope you know Iโll do my best to keep you protected from all that shit.โ
You nodded, bottom lip tucked between your teeth, โI know you will Jake, but Iโm not cut out for it. I just want a normal life, and I love spending time with you so much but Iโm too scared of what people might say to me or about me. Thatโs not something I would be comfortable with.โ
Jake deflated, he felt like the weight of the world was on his chest, โwhat does this mean for us then?โ
โIโm not sure,โ you sighed heavily, youโd been doing that a lot, letting Jake play with your fingers absentmindedly. โIโve really liked getting to know you Jake, youโre not someone who Iโd just be able to forget or leave behind. I donโt want to lose this all completely.โ
โI donโt want to lose it either, not after we worked so hard to get here,โ he sat up to look at you more attentively. โAnd, like I said before, I like you YN. I really do, youโve worked your way into my heart so easily and I donโt feel ready to let go of you yet. Not when I havenโt even had the chance to show you just how much I like you.โ
A hot blush spread across your cheeks at Jakeโs confession, hearing it in person was so different to hearing it over text and for some reason it felt all the more real. Youโd never felt this giddy over someone, not even Eunseok.
โAre you being serious? You really do like me?โ You asked, subconsciously leaning closer to him until your shoulder was nudging his.
Jake rolled his eyes, a good natured smile on his lips, โof course YN, Iโd never joke or lie about that.โ
โBut why? Weโre so different Jake, what could you possible see in me that you havenโt found in any other person youโve met?โ
โAre you joking?โ He huffed out a laugh in disbelief, โwhat else could I ever ask for except for you? Youโre so kind YN, you always think of everyone else first before you think of yourself and I admire that about you.โ
He laced his fingers back through yours, โyou stayed on call with me every time I was panicking about going on stage.โ
He tugged on your arms a little to bring you closer, โyouโre so beautiful on the outside as well as the inside, it blows me away each time how you can be so selfless.โ
He brought your hand up to his mouth, pressing a soft kiss to the skin on the back of it, lingering his lips there for a second longer than necessary, โand as I get to know you, I find out little things that just make me like you more and more. Every day you get better in my eyes, and I canโt even believe how I lucked out to get you as my neighbour. Even if we did hate each other a bit at first.โ
You giggled softly, the worried frown on your lips being replaced by a smile that only Jake seemed to bring out in you these days, โeverything youโve said is exactly how I feel about you Jake, youโre so kind and amazing on the inside and out that it gets a bit overwhelming sometimes.โ
โWhatโs overwhelming darling?โ He asked genuinely, running his fingers over the back of your hands softly.
โMy feelings for you, it overwhelms me how much I really like you Jake. I never wanted to admit it so soon, but youโre all I think about, and that must mean something.โ
Jake was smiling widely now, finally hearing those words leave your mouth and confirm his own thoughts was the best feeling for him, โyouโre all I think about too YN, all the time, every day. Everything I do, Iโm always thinking about how itโs going to affect you or if youโre going to like it. Whenever something good happens to me, youโre the first person I think of telling.โ
โMe too Jake, I want to share my life with you, I want to tell you all the good and the bad. And I want you to be able to share yours with me.โ For some reason, you felt like crying and you didnโt know why. You just felt so safe with Jake and comfortable enough that you knew you could be vulnerable with him.
โSo,โ Jake tested the waters a little. โHow do you feel about everything now? I donโt want to throw all of this away because of whatโs happening in the media at the moment with me. But I understand if you still donโt want to do this anymore, itโs your choice YN.โ
Your heart was torn, you were so sure before that you wanted to end things completely with Jake. You didnโt want to be part of that life, you didnโt want to have to hide things all the time and always be looking over your shoulder. But now that you heard his feelings in person, your mind had changed. Jake felt worth it, he was worth that struggle because the ending result would be everything you wanted.
โI know I wanted to end everything just then,โ you began, sighing heavily. โAnd Iโm still scared. I donโt want my face plastered all over the media and people making assumptions about me all the time.โ
โI totally get that darling,โ Jake said, already expecting the worst.
โBut I canโt throw this all away now,โ you continued on before he could get carried away negatively. โNot after youโve just confessed how you feel, knowing all that makes me confident that we could try to make this work.โ
Jakeโs heart skipped a beat or two, โand we would make it work YN, Iโd do anything to make it work for us. I really like you, more than Iโve liked anyone if Iโm being honest. And all this shit with the media is new to me as much as it is to you, but weโll make it work regardless. Iโll make sure nothing happens to you, Iโll make sure they keep your name out of their mouths.โ
โYouโre willing to try?โ You asked him, biting down on your bottom lip again, worrying the skin and making it red.
Jake brought your hand up to his lips, pressing a couple of kisses there. He flipped it over, kissing your wrist right over where your heartbeat was thumping through your veins.
โIโve always been willing to try for you YN,โ he mumbled against your skin.
โSo where do we go from here?โ The hand that Jake wasnโt holding made its way onto his knee, your fingers playing with the fabric of his sweatpants.
โI donโt want to rush things,โ Jake said softly. โI want to do things properly with you, but I want this to be exclusive. I want to be the only guy you talk to, and I want you to be the only girl that I talk to.โ
You couldnโt even try to stop the smile that split your face in half, โso, like dating?โ
Jake mirrored your smile, the two of you bursting into giggles when you saw the other grinning, โyeah, I guess thatโs what we can call it. Weโre dating each other until weโre ready to put that label on it. How does that sound to you?โ
You pulled your hands from Jake, burying your face in them to hide the blush that was on your skin. The smile on your face was hurting your cheeks, you couldnโt contain how happy you felt in that moment.
โYN? Are you going to look at me and give me an answer?โ Jake asked, bending his head down to try and get a glimpse of your face.
You peeked through your fingers at him, seeing Jake smiling so genuinely at you with such a soft adoration in his eyes, โI canโt look at you but I can give you an answer.โ
โGo on then darling,โ Jake laughed.
โIโd love to be exclusively dating you, nothing would make me happier,โ you said, words slightly muffled through your hands.
โNothing would make me happier either angel,โ Jake tugged on your hands gently, prying them away from your face. โLet me see those pretty eyes now, theyโre my favourite part of you.โ
You caught his gaze, immediately laughing once again when you did. The both of you were blushing and giggling messes, Jake leaning over to wrap his arms around your waist and tug you closer to him.
You allowed him to pull you around, making your way onto his lap so that you were sat sideways across his thighs with his arms on your hips and waist. Your own arms circled his neck, holding him close to you.
The two of you had only been this close a few times before, and each time you still got nervous and hesitated before him.
โYN,โ Jake said, rubbing circles on your hip with his fingertips. โYou can totally say no, I donโt want to pressure you. But Iโd really like to kiss you right now, Iโve been wanting to for a while now but I knew you werenโt ready for that before.โ
Itโs not like youโd never thought about it before, in fact youโd thought about it so many times that you were starting to dream about it too. Jake had always been attractive to you, and it was inevitable that you wanted to kiss him every single time you saw him. Which was strange, because since the incident at the club youโd never even wanted to get close to another man. With Jake, that was never the case. Youโd held off from kissing him because you never knew that he felt the same. And now that you did, you didnโt think youโd be able to stop yourself from doing it over and over.
โStop talking about it and just do it Jake,โ you mumbled, tugging on the collar of his shirt gently.
โShit, ok darling,โ Jake laughed gently, letting you pull him closer until his nose was brushing yours. Slowly but surely, he leaned in to press the gentlest of kisses against your lips. He was testing the waters, seeing how much you were comfortable with in that moment. And when he felt you pressing even closer to him, pushing your chest against his, he took that as a confirmation to keep going.
Jake kissed you again, this time allowing your bottom lip to slide through his teeth gently before sucking it into his mouth. His tongue followed after, rubbing against your own before retracting back, letting you take a breath in before he kissed you again. And again. And another time just for good measure.
One hand came up to cup the side of your neck, pulling you closer to him and keeping your lips pressed against each otherโs. His other hand gripped at your waist whilst yours tried to keep him as close to you as possible, not wanting to let go or move away even when you started to lose your breath.
โYN,โ Jake mumbled against your lips between kisses. โI donโt think Iโm ever going to be able to stop kissing you.โ
โMe neither,โ you said, your words being muffled by his lips time and time again. โI donโt have any problem with that though. Iโd be happy staying here forever like this, with you.โ

Your boyfriend's best friend shoots you one of his infamous smiles as he wraps his arm around your shoulder and gives you a quick hug and wordlessly follows you into the living room afterwards. His gaze shifts to your boyfriend the second he comes to stand behind the couch, worry grazing his features as he watches the way his dearest friend is so spaced out, he hasn't even noticed the new presence in the room.
Heeseung doesn't say anything, just calmly watches Jaeyun and you can tell from the way the older one starts scratching the back of his neck that the young parent's behavior is getting to him.
Jake has been awfully quiet ever since he woke up at around five AM this morning, way too exhausted both physically and mentally to say more than necessary as his body and mind try to unite and keep him as sane as possible with everything that's about to happen tonight.
You have absolutely no idea what's going on in his head, his expression is monotonous, his body language absolutely quiet. You're aware just how big this reunion is to your boyfriend, yet you can't help but worry about the effects of it on him in every way possible. To Seyun this is just another set of older brothers entering his life, whereas Jaeyun's life is about to change even if it doesn't seem like it.
He hasn't talked to his brother in almost half a decade, hasn't heard his voice and seen his face in just as long. You remember the way he told you how he had almost forgotten what Chan looks like until he showed you a family picture.
You want to hold him in your arms and protect him from all these worries and doubts rushing through his mind, despire doing just that the past two days already. Your usually so bubbly and smiley puppy like boyfriend turning into this silent man isn't something you're used to, neither is his best friend of almost twenty years.
Heeseung lets out a loud sigh and averts his gaze to meet your eyes, worry and anxiety written all over his handsome features as he thanks you for taking his jaket before he finally makes his way to join Jake on the couch.
"Hey there", he says and places his hand on his best friend's cheek with a big smile, easily hiding every other emotion to make sure the one in front of him doesn't notice.
"Hyung? When did you get here?" Hearing Jaeyun's voice after almost two hours of absolute silence sends a jolt of warmth through your chest and you sigh softly before you walk towards Seyun's room to check on the youngest brother.
Heeseung sits down in front of his best friend and tries his bery best to remain as calm as possible. He's already so close to freaking out, he can't even imagine what his brother for lofe has been going through and yet each time he tries to put himself into the young parent's position, his heart aches.
"Just a minute ago", he replies calmly, "how are you feeling?"
Jaeyun gulps harshly.
"I have absolutely no fucking idea", he mumbles and rubs the sides of his nose nervously, a habit which tells his best friend a lot more than one might expect.
"It's going to be okay, Yun", Seung's voice is calm and he hates how he struggles to find the right words.
"I know, I know." Is the only thing Jake replies with, before he throws his head back to hide the thick veil of tears blurrinh his vision from the older guy in front of him.
"Fuck", he hisses and lets out a soft sob, slmething he's been holding in all morning, "I feel like throwing up. I'm not sure I can do this, Hyung."
Jake's honest confession makes Seung gulp harshly, leaving him even more speechless than he had already been the second he walked through the door.
"You can do this, Jaeyun, we're here to be by your side and everything's going to go well."
Jake can't help but sigh and just let the tears run freely, too exhausted to hold them back any longer and as his best friend wraps his arms around him does the silent cries turn into heavy sobs.
Seung lifts his head with glossy eyes when he feels your gaze on him and just gives you a reassuring nod.
You hear Yunie's little giggles from down the hall, the youngest brother absolutely unaware of what's been going on and you find yourself being grateful for exactly that, considering how much it's already broken the older one.
The following twenty minutes are mostly filled with silence, Jaeyun taking the remaining time to take a hot shower in hopes of calming himself down, only to break down right before he's about to step out. He wants to be excited and thrilled about seeing his oldest brother again, but all these worries and doubts have been ruining him for the past few days. His mind has made it it's goal to put every worst case scenario imaginable into his brain and for the first time in years the young parent just doesn't know what to do with himself.
Every time he takes a deep breath, he tries to think of your as well as Seung's reassuring words, Chan's words of affirmation and enthusiasm, but still falls back into those dark thoughts right after. And after carrying this heavy weight on his chest for so long, he simply can't wait for this to be over so he can finally breathe again.
"Baby?"
The sound of your soft voice through the door finally pulls him back into reality and with a deep sigh, Jaeyun stares at himself in the mirror, his eyes roaming over the dark ink on his collarbone, the few molds on his chest and the little birthmark right underneath his belly button before he finally gets himself to shift his attention to his face, only to end up hating what he sees. He doesn't pay much attention to his red, puffy eyes and dark circles underneath them, just reaches for the handle and flings the door open.
His heart instantly calms down response to the sight of you, his hand subconsciously reaching for yours before he pulls you into his arms and buries his face in your neck with a soft sigh.
"They're here, my love", you whisper calmly, your heart slamming against your rib cage in an almost brutal manner as you caress his naked back and place a soft kiss on his temple.
"Hey, look at me, please." Your request is still just as soft as your voice, yet firm and demanding, leaving the young parent absolutely no choice but to oblige.
His usually so gentle eyes meet you with exhaustion and tiredness dripping drom the dark brown, but considering the limited time you have, you decide to push the worry all the way back into your head and take his pretty face into your hands and give him a sweet, yet passionate kiss.
"You've got this", you whisper and wipe away a single tear which has managed to make its way out of the thick veil in his eyes, "and we've got you. Let's do this, yeah?"
Jake doesn't even get the chance to respond with a wordless nod, when the sudden sound of his oldest brother's voice echoes through the apartment.
You quickly reach for one of his shirts and pull it over his head, giving him one last kiss before you take his hand into yours and finally make your way to the living room together.
Jake doesn't say anything. He barely reacts to the sight of his oldest brother kneeling down to be on eye level with their youngest physically. It's a sight so unfamiliar, he is at an absolute loss for words.
You both come to stand in the doorway of the living room, just watching the whole scene unfold with big โ and in Jaeyun's case โ teary eyes.
For a short moment, nobody notices your presence, which gives the young parent the chance to properly observe the reunion of his two brothers and actually process it.
And despite a few thousand thoughts crossing his mind just a few seconds ago, Jaeyun realises they've all vanished and there's nothing but calmness and absolute silence.
You two aren't in either of their eyesight, which makes the moment perfect and the second your gaze shifts from the brothers to your boyfriend, you feel your heart breaking into thousands of pieces.
Jaeyun attentively watches the way Chan offers his hand to the little guy, introducing himself and chuckling at the way his brother seems a lot more interested in his body art than his greeting.
The oldest brother lifts his head to look at his own and Jaeyun's best friend, only then revealing his tear stained cheek to your attentive eyes and before neither one of you gets the chance to actually react to it, a deep, familiar voice echoes through the space of your boyfriend's living room.
"Jaeyun", Felix says with a big, genuine smile plastered on his handsome face, his eyes roaming the younger man's figure attentively.
And for a very short moment, Jake notices the way Chan literally stops in his tracks at the call of his younger brother's name, as if he wasn't expecting to hear it from his best friend.
A beat of painful silence follows the notice of your presence and all you can do is meet Seung's teary gaze, his bottom lip quivering as he tries his best to stay strong in a moment so special and vulnerable to his best friend.
Chan doesn't move for another thirty seconds, which certainly feel like hours to the young parent, yet mothibg could have prepared Jaeyun for the feeling of absolute relief filling his aching chest as soon as their oldest turns around to face him.
You attentively watch your boyfriend's reaction, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes as you watch both men just staring at each other in utter shock.
"Hey, big guy", Chan suddenly says, his voice raspy and hoarse, cheeks flushed and stained from the tears, eyes reddened and his hands nervously fidgeting with the hem of his pullover as he lifts his tattoo clad hand to greet his brother.
Jaeyun can't help but let his gaze drop down to it, his eyes nervously roaming the dark ink covering his brother's pale skin and as soon as he spots his father's wedding ring adorning his finger, he lets ojt a soft sob and finally throws his arms around his older brother's shoulders.
Chan doesn't hesitate to return the tight hug, laughing and sobbing as they embrace each other after living in pain for so long.
Nobody says anything because absolutely nothing has to be said. Even Seyun just sits and attentively watches his older brothers make up for all the time they've lost, something he doesn't realise, yet seems intrigued by. Felix and Heeseung keep wiping away their tears as they take in a sight they've both been praying for in secret, knowing how much either one of the brothers has been suffering these past few years.
Jaeyun keeps pulling away with his big puppy eyes widened in absolute happiness and enthusiasm, his hands grabbing his oldesg brother's face to make sure he's there and he's real; his brain needing the skinship and eye contact to be sure that this is actually happening.
You don't know how much time passes until Chan finally decides to pull away upon Seyun calling our for him, eager to show his new Hyung all of his cool toys and the cake he's made all by himself (with your help of course.)
Chan pulls you into a tight hug as well, whispers a few words of gratitude and appreciation into your ear before he finally shifts his attention back to his youngest brother.
Dinner goes by quickly as Heeseung and Felix take over the conversations, knowing this is still quite difficult for the brothers to process and cope with, so they make sure to keep the atmosphere light and happy.
Every now and then you catch Chan staring at Jake whenever he's taking care of Seyun, listening in on their little conversations and wiping away his tears as he notices just how close they. You can only imagine how much he's been dreaming of this particular moment, how this was what made him keep going and stay away from any trouble in hopes of getting a chance to redeem himself. Neither one of the older brothers talks much, both of them simply soaking in these precious moments before it's time for their youngest to go to sleep.
"He's very well mannered", Chan says calmly once Jaeyun joins the four of you in the living room again, after spending about fifteen minutes going through Seyun's night time routine.
"He is", Heeseung quickly jumps in as soon as he notices Jake's hesitance, whereas you stand up with a gentle smile and guide your boyfriend to sit on your spot on the couch to make sure he gets to face his older brother.
"You raised him well, Jae", Chan continues and takes a sip from his coffee, his eyes firmly set on the young parent in front of him, "I'm really proud of you."
And maybe it's the way he said it or the fact Jaeyun's been craving to hear these particular words from his oldest brother in so long, but as soon as his brain processes the sweet praise, he can't help but break down.
A loud sob erupts from his throat yet again and you feel a jolt of pain shoot through your body right into your chest, making you approach your boyfriend with worried eyes only for his brother to get up and pull him into another tight hug.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm here now and I promise I'm not going to go anywhere anytime soon, yeah?" Chan whispers, yet his voice is loud enough for you all to hear and with a soft smile of relief on your face, you sit down next to Heeseung and just enjoy the way you can actually feel the burden on Jake's shoulders slowly fading away.
"I'm sorry, H-Hyung", Jaeyun suddenly mumbles and throws his head back, his fingers still remaining around his brother's wrist as he tries to calm himself down, "I'm sorry for being so awful to you. For treating you the way I did, for being so stubborn."
Chan gulps harshly and shoots both you and Seung a worried look, his eyes glistening with tears before he inhales deeply.
"Don't you dare", he gently scolds his younger brother and takes his face into his big hands to meet his gaze again, "everything you've done and said was justified. I'm so proud of you for being so strong and trying your very best at any time. This wasn't easy at all, probably the most difficult thing you've ever had to do and it's not over yet, Jaeyun. But I'm here now and that's why we're going to leave the past where it belongs."
This time both brothers burst into tears, Jaeyun burying his face in Chan's chest as he finally lets go of all these worries and doubts which have been keeping him up at night for the past few weeks, probably even years. Despite having a support system as good as the one he has, he secretly longed for the approval of his oldest brother, his bestest of friends, his role model, the one he's always looked up to.
And to finally hear everything he's been dreaming of for so long, Jake physically can't stop himself from finally letting it all out.
The following three hours are filled with just as many tears, laughter and painful, happy and sad memories from the boys' life in Australia, a lot of catching up and sharing of excitement and emotions just the way you all needed to.
By the time Jake pulls you closer to his chest, you can feel the way he seems happier, calmer and a lot less stressed than just twelve hours ago and for the first time in weeks, you know he's going to sleep through the night without any struggles.
You can tell he's still buzzing with adrenaline and euphoria despite the fact his brother has left about two hours ago, but you don't even think about interfering, just enjoying the way he's absentmindedly drawing circles into your back, pushing you deeper into the sweet haze of your much needed sleep.
And when Jake suddenly presses hsi lips against your forehead, obviously convinced you've already fallen intoa deeper sleep than you are, he lets out a sweet sigh and tightens his arms around your body.
"I love you, so fucking much", he suddenly whispers, your sleepy brain barely making out his words, whereas your heart skips a whole beat just to hammer against your rib cage even harder right afterwards, "thank you for everything, my only love."
