When you’re standing there in your underwear
And my t-shirt from the night before
With your messed up hair
And your feet still bare
Would you mind closing the bedroom door?
It’s 6 am in the morning. Kyungsoo knows because he checked the wall clock on the living room of the Park’s residence when he made a little trip to the loo earlier.
The doe-eyed boy stands in front of the full-length mirror of the bedroom, the soft light from the corridor that peeks through the slightly ajar door complimenting his childish features on the reflective surface. Kyungsoo is clad in nothing but an oversized jersey and shorts; formerly belonging to the male snoring sleeping soundly on the bed behind his back. The shirt itself reaches down to cover the junction of his thighs and the shorts he is wearing underneath, the unbuttoned collar loose enough to lend himself a peek at his collarbones. They all smell unfamiliar to his senses, but not particularly unpleasant. Short, jet black hair all tussled up into a fluffy mess and there are cowlicks jutting out everywhere. His eyes are still round, like usual, this time with a hint grogginess in it.
Yet what truly catches his attention (and concern) is something else.
Blotches of blue, purple and pink are scattered along the pale stretch of skin of his upper body; the delicate column of his throat, the area behind his ears, on the protruding nook of his collarbones. He raises his head just a little bit to spot several others on his lower jaw as well. The combination of colors that makes up the twilight against his ivory skin is so striking that it almost reminds him of a canvas painting he saw during their trip to the gallery before. And that doesn’t even count to the ones planted between his legs, disguised as mosquito bites when he can clearly see teeth indentation marks on them.
“Fuck. You’re so beautiful like this, soo.”
Kyungsoo doesn’t blush when he touched the most prominent looking ones on his neck, putting pressure on it gingerly to check whether the bruise hurts or not. If anything he is rather disgruntled by the deed, brain that’s all clouded by sleep still scrambling for ideas to conceal the love bites. His friends aren’t exactly the most merciful people with their words, especially when he have to do the walk of shame to have breakfast with them later on, so he’d like to cover as much skin as possible to prevent further damage. Perhaps he should borrow a sweatshirt later? The perpetrator ought to take responsibility as well, somehow.
Much to his delight though, the discoloration doesn’t hurt by the slightest bit.
Shoulders jolt in practiced caution as his ears perk at the sound of someone stirring on the bed. A gravelly voice–Chanyeol’s–follows after asking him what was he doing there standing like that. Like his own, the older’s voice is still raw from last night. Kyungsoo replies with a smile, climbing onto the bed only to wince at the sudden pain that struck on his lower sides. Apparently beaters really do have strong arms, and he had to learn that the pleasant hard way. The petite male forces himself to dive back under the duvet nonetheless, a fond smile inhibits his heart-shaped lips when he felt a pair of arms encircle around his waist, pulling him closer to form a mess of tangled limbs.
Chanyeol is all jutting bones and gangly limbs with silvery white hair, elf-like ears that’s a tad too big for his face and large eyes to compliment it. Voice too low for his boyish features when he told Kyungsoo to go back to sleep with that signature grin of his that makes the younger boy wants to either punch or kiss it off of his face. A part of him had always been jealous of Chanyeol’s height too, but he usually have no qualms when Chanyeol utilize them to deliver surprise kisses or envelope him under a bone-crushing embrace. His outer shell always screams cocky playboy, but his clingy nature screams overgrown puppy. And Kyungsoo wouldn’t ask for anything else.
But before he can actually drift off to sleep, a calloused hand moves upwards from the small of his back to his nape, pulling him into a chaste kiss that only gets deeper when Chanyeol tugs on his lower lip. In the end they both comes down late for breakfast with droopy eyelids and constant yawns for every five minutes, their friends (particularly Jongdae) sending them judgmental looks and comments across the table. Kyungsoo merely responds by keeping his face down all the time while Chanyeol has an argument with Hyuna about ‘controlling his volume’. Mingyu just eats silently in his seat unaware of what on earth are they talking about. Afterwards Chanyeol sinks back into his chair, exchanging fond looks and holding hands with the doe-eyed boy without anyone noticing.
Then Kyungsoo thinks, maybe he could live like this. Not just during breaks between semesters. Not just for a three-days sleepover.
