THIS MUSE WILL BE MOVING TO MY NEW MULTIMUSE BLOG. I really miss writing Trixie and I think this change will help me better manage all my writing blogs. Thank you for your patience.
hello everyone! just wanted to let you know that i am still around...but i have been considering creating a small multi-muse blog, and if/when i do, i will be moving TRIXIE OVER TO THERE.
i just think it’ll be a lot easier to manage because i do have a couple more muses i need to organize better as well!
I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom for me and you. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white. The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
“Yep, I`ll count to fifty whilst you go hide”
“ ...whilst? That’s a word? ”
“The winner gets to eat all the brownies that are in the pantry”
“ OKAY, I’m in. Best two out of three...and the hider gets the point if the seeker gives up. ”
@smallhumcn
“Wanna play hide and seek?”
“ Hm...maybe. What do I get if I win? ”

“ I don’t get it. ”
Trixie had given this a lot of thought. Normally, when something gave the young girl this much pause, she would have to ask her mom about it. That or Google it, but sometimes the internet could turn up some super weird things -- and this had been one of those times. So, the young girl had decided to go to a different source of wisdom. “ How can someone smoke a pot? Don’t they have to set it on fire first? ”
-- ( @lordxfhell ).
It hadn’t taken much convincing of her teenage babysitter to allow Lucifer into the house after he had showed up at the door. After all, it was clear that he was a FRIEND of Trixie’s and besides, he was a very frequent guest at in their home. So, while the babysitter went back to minding her own business and trusting that Trixie would be able to entertain herself, the young girl did just that.
Racing back from her bedroom, she held a pack of 60s flower power themed cards in her hands. “ Look! So, I got these from my goodie bag from Tiffany’s birthday party as last week. Now, you can teach some magic tricks! ”

TRIXIE . MY NEW FRIEND .
how does one speak to children ? hand is raised & lowered in a type of wave , painted lips easily forming into a grin . ( fingers clutch at the files too tightly , knuckles turning white . ) ❝ that’s a nice name . trixie . sounds like a real important person . i’m nancy . ❞ words spill from her tongue with speed as she shifts to make room for her new companion ; nose crinkles as the girl mentions the files in hand , a glance tossed towards them .
❝ well , kinda . does your mom have a badge ? ❞ files are thrown open for a moment , then closed —– a SNEAK PEEK of the contents hidden inside . ❝ y’see , i’m on the cops’ side , but i’m not one of ‘em . freelance . i do my own thing & solve the mystery before the police can . . . does that sound lame ? ❞
A small giggle bubbled past the young girl’s lips. “ You really think so? Thanks! My friend, Lucifer, says my name is a hooker’s name, I guess it’s a good thing if my name sounds important too...it’ll make my presidential campaign a lot easier. ” A couple months ago, her class had done an activity where they got to find out what their names meant. Trixie had learned that she was meant to make other people happy and she kind of like it.
“ Yeah, and a gun! ” She continued to eye the files, trying to see what was written on the papers, then frowned when Nancy closed the folder. Her mom always did the same whenever she tried to read the files she brought home from work, too. “ Ooh...that’s really cool! --- but how are faster than the cops? I thought they were the best at solving mysteries. ”

❝ Hey, there. ❞ Don’t talk to strangers. Wasn’t that pretty much the FIRST rule every kid learned from their parents? Yet that was the exact rule he was hoping the young girl ( who happened to be the only ‘witness’ – assuming that term even applied) would break when he approached with what he hoped would come across as nothing more than a friendly smile. The last thing he needed right now was some middle-aged woman rushing over to SMACK him in the head with her purse. ❝ I was wondering if you might have seen a friend of mine. Dark hair, green eyes — probably standing around with an impatient look on her face. ❞ Great. He had probably been stood up. Or, actually, he had stood HER up – but not purposely. ❝ I was supposed to meet her here – I think – a while ago and mixed up the times, so…have you seen her? ❞
Big, brown eyes were hidden behind a pair of pink sunglasses as Trixie tilted her head up, taking a look at the stranger. It was funny the way he stood a little bit too far from where she sat on the bench. Did he think she was going to bite him or something? Either way, she listened carefully as he asked her his question, hoping she could help him with whatever problem was making the blonde seem so awkward.
Her tiny face screwed to one side as she pursued her lips in thought. “ Hm, no. I don’t think I’ve seen a girl like that. Maybe she got the wrong time, too. Wait! Are you supposed to be going on a DATE with her?! ”
fingers, just barely peeking out from the over-sized sleeves of a too-big sweater, tap against the wood of the board in his grasp. an easy smile graces his lips, && he tilts his head down just slightly to observe the little girl.
‘ sure did, kiddo. took a lot of practice to get it right. you got a board of your own? ’
She steps closer to take a better look at his board, now having to tilt her head all the way back in order to look at the boy. “ No, I don’t have a skateboard. I have a bike. ”
“ Should I get one? ” It wasn’t that she wasn’t willingly to put in the time and learn how to do cool tricks, but as far as she could see...it seemed only older kids were the ones with skateboards. Maybe she wasn’t big enough to take this on.
“I have tried every flavour and I`m telling you, I really don`t like ice cream…But I do know where they keep the fudge here”
“ Hold on -- so, you think that ice cream is too sweet...but not fudge? They’re like, the same level of sweetness. ”

Her expression was deeply pensive, her brows creased with concentration, her mouth covered by her tiny hand, curled into a fist. Trixie read every word carefully, took in the details and gave thorough thought to this important decision. It was definitely a difficult call to make. Finally, she leaned back and heaved a sigh.
“ Daddy, I can’t do it. I don’t which ice cream flavour to pick. ”
Of course, she already a favourite go-to flavour ( chocolate chip cookies & dough ), but today, she wanted to try some NEW.
Stay put. Do not wake up Trixie.

“ Miss Byrne? ” She approached the older woman, an excited grin on her face, her eyes wide. Her fingers held on to a small notebook and a bright pink pencil. It was almost 4:30, which meant that her dad would be here soon. “ What’s the name of that song you played yesterday? You know, the really happy one? ”
Trixie had forgotten to ask the day before, and when she had tried to sing it to her mom...it didn’t come out sounding right. She had almost forgotten again today, but luckily, she remembered before her dad got here.

“ -- -- mommy? ” trixie dragged her feet as she made her way from her room to the kitchen. her karate uniform was rumpled, obviously put on without much enthusiasm. “ do i have to go to karate this week? i don’t feel very good. ” it wasn’t a complete lie -- while she wasn’t running a fever or anything like that...the thought of going to her lessons this week left the young girl feeling anxious.
