If you ask me, I think we should do away with whores. Make brothels and such illegal. It’s not a very honorable profession, is it?
Are you saying you have never visited a brothel? Making brothels illegal would not solve anything..

An unexpected visit || Dacey & Smalljon
Dacey was forced to resist rolling her eyes when Smalljon told her that he had obligations here. He had no obligations on Bear Island. He was simply a man who spoke sweet words in the hopes of earing a smile. It didn’t matter that he was insisting that he was a man unlike those who wanted her to lie back in their beds. She could not believe him. Alysane had two children and was a year Dacey’s junior. She did not care that her sister had chosen to do such things; Dacey just did not desire those things.
A scoff fell from her lips when Jorelle left and Smalljon spoke. “Indeed.” There was sarcasm in her tone as she glanced up at Smalljon. He was so tall. She felt almost like a child in his presence. This man seemed like all the others she had met. The fishermen and stable hands who thought that taming a wild Mormont daughter would be the true challenge of their ability to woo a woman. It simply made Dacey’s desire to bed anyone dwindle. “Yes, you brought your warhammer for no reason.”
Her eyes tracked Smalljon as he moved around the training yard. “Yes, this is where we practice.” That was obvious. She had been practicing before he arrived. There was something about the way that he handled the swords that made her curious as to his training. He was massive. Strength was his advantage but Dacey was certain that he was slow. It would not be hard to outmaneuver him. Dacey was not a small woman, but she might as well have been a child with how massive Smalljon was.
“We train very hard,” Dacey explained as she walked over towards Smalljon. “If you are truly so curious about my Morningstar I suppose I could show you.” The woman walked towards the training dummies not far away. Her morning star was leaning against one. Quickly, Dacey picked it up and used the morning star to strike the dummy in the chest. The weapon was similar to a mace and it was the one thing Dacey was the most lethal with. Her eyebrow rose as she looked up at Smalljon. “Perhaps you would care to spar?”
Smalljon was only joking, nothing more and nothing less. The fact Dacey was so serious about it all only made it more enjoyable for him. Yet, perhaps he should keep it low and think before he opens his mouth next time. His words might give her the wrong impression. A soft smile curled up around his lips when hearing the sarcastic tone in her voice. Smalljon could tell Dacey had a hard time believing he did not only travel all the way from Last Hearth to Bear Island to fuck her. nevertheless he was determined to proof it to her.
There was no one who needed to be tamed here. He was someone who admired the strong personalities of the women of Bear Island. Their fierceness and their ability to fight better than most cunts calling themselves a knight or warrior. Smalljon had met lots of women in his life, one more whiny than the other. It made him wonder how pretty their heads would look on a pike, it sure would be more quiet. ''Spar? Unfortunately I do not spar with a sword in my hands.'' He said, assuming that was what she wanted. ''Ever since I was very young, I found myself larger and stronger than my opponents. It is the main reason why I only fight with a warhammer.'' Smalljon shrugged his shoulders. Of course, he did not underestimate her just because she happens to be a woman. He had seen her spar only minutes ago and he had to admit she was good, very good. Jon looked down at her, observing her beautiful face. If he didn't know better he would say she was dying to spar with him, even if its only to kick his ass.
A grin curled up around his lips, followed by a soft smirk. ''Fine.'' He eventually said. ''Lets give it a try, shall we?'' Small Jon threw his warhammer aside, which landed in the loose sand with a dull thud. He took one of the swords he had been looking at earlier in his hands and observed it. ''This one will do.'' He slightly swing the sword once or twice before confirming what he had just said with a nod. ''Now I can only hope I have no forgotten how to handle a sword.''
An unexpected visit || Dacey & Smalljon
Dacey had all but left thoughts of Smalljon Umber behind her. The man had seemed so like the rest that his comments about coming to Bear Island were quickly forgotten. As usual, Dacey rose with the sun and spent her morning assisting her mother before she took Jorelle and Lyanna down to the training yards. She was the eldest. She needed to help her younger sisters learn the art of war and defense. It was their way and she did not mind being part of that. In fact, Dacey quite enjoyed teaching them but she never went easy on them.
She demonstrated with Lyra so Jorelle and Lyanna could see what was to be done. Her sisters watched eagerly as Lyra and Dacey spun across the training yard with their weapons in an attempt to disarm the other. Dacey’s hair fanned out behind her and Lyra attempted to trip her sister, but Dacey kept her balance. It seemed like hours that they were there sparring and allowing themselves to get lost in the almost rhythmic dance of two blades clashing.
Dacey’s chest heaved as her heart raced and she sucked in a breath, but eventually the eldest Mormont managed to knock her sister down and get her to yield. Lyra had grown into a formidable opponent, but she could still not best Dacey. Slender fingers ran through long tresses as she sucked in a breath before being approached by one of the servants. When she was told someone was waiting for her, she couldn’t imagine who it would be. Her gaze snapped over towards where he stood then and she frowned slightly. The man was massive, tall and strong. Dacey had never seen him before, but the way he waved at her caused on slender eyebrow to arch.
Quickly the eldest Mormont sheathed her sword and approached him curiously. “Am I wrong to assume you are Smalljon Umber?” She sighed softly and rested a hand on the pommel of the sword at her hip. “I must admit, I did not believe you were being truthful about your intentions to travel here.” Nevertheless, Dacey offered Smalljon a slight smile as she hooked a lock of dark hair behind her ear. “Welcome to Bear Island.” Quickly she glanced over at Jorelle where she stood. “Jorelle, could you please go tell mother about our guest and see to it that a room is prepared for him so he does not have to share mine.” She glanced back over at Smalljon then before Jorelle scampered off to do as she was told.
She was tall, something that was hard to miss now she was standing right in front of him. And most of all, she was prettier than he had ever dared to imagine. Her bright eyes compared with her long dark hair, it was a beautiful sight. Smalljon slowly nodded when Dacey mentioned his name. ''That is correct.'' A slight smile curled up around his lips. ''It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Dacey.'' Even Smalljon himself had to admit traveling all the way to Bear Island was madness but yet, here he was. ''I told you I would. I have certain obligations here.'' He could not help himself but let out a soft smirk as he shook his head a little. Smalljon looked around the training yard as Dacey welcomed him to Bear Island. Everything looked so much different than he had imagined. It all was much bigger. He had to admit he was quite impressed by what he saw. Dacey's words made him laugh as he looked down at her. Even though Dacey was one of the tallest women he had ever met, he was still far taller. There aren't many men who reach his length. Most are much smaller and less massive in general. But what can he do? He is his father's son. ''Pity.'' He said when Jorelle did as she was told. ''So this means I brought my warhammer for no reason?'' The corners of his mouth curled up into a teasing grin, followed by a wink. Of course he never planned on sharing a bedchamber with Dacey. It would go way too far, even for him. ''So this is where you all practice?'' Smalljon glanced over his shoulder at Dacey as he walked into the direction of some swords standing against the wall. He figured those are for practice. It was a while ago since he had hold a sword for the last time. Ever since he was very young, his teachers had put a warhammer in his hand, allowing him to deliver devastating blows without having to be quick. Due his length and the way he was build being quick has always been an issue.
He observed the swords for a moment, moving his finger along the cold steel before he turned around to face Dacey once more. ''I have to admit I am very impressed by the way you handle a sword. Same for your sister of course.'' Smalljon added a short as he took a step closer towards her. ''Only makes me more curious about your morningstar.''
I feel like I've been doing things I shouldn't be doing.
I do not agree with this statement, my lord. And I am not a little girl. My name is Roslin Thorne and I am a woman.
Ah, you are a woman already?
Please, do forgive me for my puerile behavior. Its a pleasure to meet you. Now tell me, Roslin, how come you do not agree with my statement? Are you one of the brighter ones?
I feel like I've been doing things I shouldn't be doing.
It’s….something only a woman would understand.
Most women understand very little. I was expecting a very exciting story, little girl. What is your name again?
I feel like I've been doing things I shouldn't be doing.
It’s very personal, my lord.
I promise it will be our little secret..
An unexpected visit || Dacey & Smalljon
The morning had nearly began when Smalljon made his way towards the stables where he saddled his horse, preparing it for their long journey westward. He would travel by himself, for several reasons. On his own he would reach the island much faster than when he travels in a group. When he told his father about his plans the night before, the man approved straight away. Greatjon saw several benefits in his son’s trip to Bear Island. Greatjon himself was very fond of the women living there and he would like nothing more than his son to make one of them his wife. Smalljon knew. Yet, he also knew it is an almost impossible task to make them like him if they are all like Dacey Mormont. The name made a grin curl up around his lips as he got onto his horse, leaving Last Hearth behind. After two days of traveling through the rough landscape of his beloved North, he finally reached the coast. Smalljon now was only a boat trip away from Bear Island. He traded his horse for a passage to the remote island in the middle of the Bay of Ice. Luckily it was a peaceful crossing. Smalljon always preferred the land above the ice cold waters. That morning he woke up by the very first sunlight of the day that was shining down upon his face. Smalljon gathered his belongings before he set foot on land again with great relief. The man who had safely brought him to Bear Island told him which direction to go and after a short hike he saw the gate. On the gate there was a craving of a woman in bearskin with a babe suckling at her breast in one arm and a battleaxe in the other. It told him nearly everything there is to know about the women of Bear Island. Smalljon could admire their strength and fierceness.
He didn't walk around all too long. It was folly, he would never find her if he didn't even know where to look. ''Excuse me,'' Smalljon started when a group of girls passed him. ''I am looking for Dacey Mormont, do you happen to know where I can find her?'' One of the girls nodded and pointed at the other side of the central square. ''It looks like she is occupied though.'' Smalljon nodded, now he at least knew she is one of the woman sparring. The girl offered to walk with him. Together they watched the battle going on in front of them. Jon had to admit he was rather impressed, by both girls.
Once the battle was decided, the girl told him to wait and walked into the direction of the woman who had won. ''Dacey?'' Her voice was soft as she looked up at the tall woman standing in front of her. ''There is someone here for you..''
Smalljon saw how Dacey Mormont looked into his direction and rose his hand, waving at her on a teasing manner which made it all very obvious.
It would seem...
Armed and ready? Perhaps I will need my morningstar to guard my virtue. I have yet to see any proof that you are anything but the same as other men.
I said armed, not ready. Ready for what exactly?
Your virtue you say? Ah yes, your morningstar. You already mentioned you would show it to me. I will give you as much proof as you want, just keep that chamber free for me.
It would seem...
I would love to see you try such a thing, Smalljon. My chambers are not a place most men dare venture. You are making a horrid argument for trying to get me to believe you are not like other men.
I dare, armed with my warhammer.
Do not worry, I will proof to you I am nothing like other men.
It would seem...
It does not sound too difficult at all.
I hope you have a chamber left for me, else I am afraid you will have to share yours.
I feel like I've been doing things I shouldn't be doing.
Now things become interesting. What have you done, little girl?
It would seem...
As I said, once I know you these thoughts I have had may be changed.
Perhaps. So all we have to do is get to know one and other. Does not sound all too difficult..
It would seem...
I…I am pleased to know it was not your intention to see me in such a light. Perhaps if I knew you better, it would be easier for me to see you in a light different from the one I have cast upon you.
I can not blame you for the thoughts you are having. I just wish I could change them.
It would seem...
That is something I wonder every time a man makes sweet comments about my eyes or my smile, thinking that a few choice words will make me putty in his hands like the whores in the brothel are.
Do you truly think me so conceited that I do not know this? You are a fool, Smalljon. I have spent time with men in camps and training. They only ever wanted one thing and I learned from a very early age to spot those sorts of men, regardless of if they were interested in me or someone else.
Every man who thinks you are that kind of woman is a fool. I never assumed you would be that kind of woman, nor was it my intention to compare you to one of those whores in the brothel or make you feel like one.
Right, I can only say it is a pity you see me as one of those men.
It would seem...
The top of your list? Now you are simply trying too hard. Regardless, I was still correct in assuming that your interest in me lies strictly with what is between my legs.
This is very, very disappointing Dacey. It makes me wonder why I would be interested in what is between your legs.
I do hope you are aware of the fact you are not the only one with something between her legs. If I really was that desperate, I would have made it much easier for myself and look for that something much closer to home.
It would seem...
My smile is now one of your obligations? Don’t I feel special. How many girls have you used that line on, Smalljon?
It is on the top of my list even. I know you want an honest answer Dacey, so I am going to say zero. I have not used that line before. Usually I do not have to make this much effort..
