Well you’ve got plenty of children now. I don’t think you need any more. That sounds wonderful. It would be wonderful to see yours again too.
No, I definitely agree with you. I had thought the twins would be our last but alas sometimes things do not go according to plan.
You should want to see yourself in her too, Dacey. You’re strong and brave and beautiful. I’d be delighted if Arelie was anything like you, but she doesn’t have the best role models for that, I suppose. Alex is strong and brave and beautiful, but I think he wants Are to be more like me… If your daughter takes after the Queen Mother, then there are definitely worse fates to suffer.
Oh I do want to see myself, but I also know all the flaws in myself and worry that those are the things she would inherit. I agree. Surely any child taking after either of you would be blessed.

It has always been that way. Everyone is different, so I suppose you could be. Ah, Benjen is behaving himself, yes. He was starting to teach Jeor to ride last I saw him.
But you do hear it, right? Lyanna sleeps safe and sound, and recalls no sound. At least I know I’m not going crazy if you hear it too.
No, I do hear it. Lyanna has always slept soundly, even as a girl.
“Do you hear that? That screeching sound is what has kept me up for the last many weeks. What do you think it is?”

I know, but rushing to get back on a horse is only going to cause you pain. It’s better to take things slowly. Just be grateful it was only one babe. I felt ripped in half for the better part of a month after the twins.

Indeed, she is eight now. It seems as though I blinked and she’s a fully grown young lady.

Perhaps you should. Children of that age are quite special, but I’m fairly certain Benjen and I are done having babes. I will keep you informed. It would be wonderful to see your family again.

I think it’s simply that I want to see Benjen in her and not myself. Lyn is a beautiful little girl. Bright blue eyes, dark hair. She is a true Northern beauty. Perhaps she takes after Benjen’s sister more than either of us.

Apparently, I’ve talked about wanting to leave Bear Island so much that Rowan has begun to think I’m actually going away — if only he were right.
Well actually, I was just speaking with Alys about Benjen and I visiting Winterfell with the children. If your mother allows it I would have no objections to you accompanying us.
