Happy pride month, have some of my trans Clark thoughts bc idk if I head canon Clark as trans or not (kind of a first for a character I project onto) but if I do, it’s definitely not in a traditional sense
Clark being trans in the sense of, he's a man, he's been raised as a man, he knows he's a man, he'll always be a man, but Kryptonian gender and sex isn't exactly what it is on earth, and whatever he would have appeared to be on Krypton doesn't translate to man, just something else, on Krypton he wouldn't fit the binary because he is a man
The same as before but Clark knows he's something else, he's raised as a man, he looks like a man, but he knows he's something else entirely, on Krypton he would have been cis, but on earth he isn't perceived that way because his gender is outside of the human binary (trans in the way some intersex non-binary people might be trans or might not depending on how they individually choose to see it)
Clark who knows he isn’t a man but wouldn’t fall into a binary gender identity on Krypton either, he simply is as he is and doesn’t fit into the boxes made for him in either culture and civilization
Trans Clark in the sense that alien sex and gender is weird so when he was a baby the Kents thought he was female and started raising him as a girl, but he knew he was a boy, the Kents just gaslight people into thinking they always had a little boy because they know people are transphobic, some people don't quite believe them until Clark hits puberty because out of sheer coincidence Kryptonians with female-like anatomy experience puberty more similar to human males, so he doesn't have to bind and doesn’t have worry about how he can't get top surgery. Maybe his assigned gender on Krypton would have been equivalent to man on Earth and he would have been cis there but he was raised here so his initial upbringing is a trans experience
