She is looking for something, The glaze of a newborn Unfocussed and dazed She will not see. He is searching for something, Skimming and skipping stones Eyes across the water He will not find. Cogs turning Without the satisfaction Of touch, or scrape As they pass So closely They pass. Breathing the scent of The rising sun Across the dew strewn grass The day has begun She does not inhale. A stray thread from The weave of his jumper Floating to the beat of his Steps He cannot hear. As the gasp of day, Escapes the closing door And the music stills The stone sinks The sun falls And at the end of the day They will remain Apart.

Idea
When I'm old and bored And I can't walk around Or paint Or cook Or read books I think I'll entertain myself By pretending I know strangers And approaching them with Personal questions And declarations of my memories! It will be fun...old age...tomorrow...

Six word poem
I hate missing out on things.
Falling
Some stories have told me That one day I will fall in love They tell me tales of flashing eyes That look Love at first sight. Some fairy tales tell me about Meeting my prince Falling in to his arms His life And knowing without a doubt That he is mine and I am his. But they lied. True love swells And grows It tumbles you up And drops you into the sand. Sometimes I feel it retreat The strength of a wave Pulling away from me And I have to decide Do I hold my breath And hope Everything is meant to be My fairy tale white fluffy cloud Gently floating me through life. Or do I start to swim So that when the wave returns It pulls me higher and higher Pushing me faster Stronger Higher Towards the next swelling wave The next rush Of true love.
Dream forever awake. Forever awaken dreams.
Forgetting
Sometimes it is invaluable To be able to forget To let go of memories That are more harmful Than good. To let go of memories that you don't need Or just to let go Of the need To remember. Imagine If you could forget Those moments that haunt you And just keep the lessons Those moments taught you.
Melancholy
Some things make me happy, Some things make me mad, But lately it just seems to me That most things make me sad.
I know it is my thoughts Tumbling all round And I watch them but I’m Too scared to pull them out Afraid of what I’ll find Even as I think How easy it should be To change them In my mind.
But it isn’t And I won’t Until the moment comes When finally the snib clicks And the thoughts have all be cleaned And now the door can open and Clarity can be gleaned.
And it will surprise me How dark those thoughts Had gone And how easy it all seems now That they can be forgotten.

I remember a time when you thought it was ok to do just one thing at a time.
