What is Sunrise?

Sunrise is an AU centered around the Hamato clan after the time travel plan failed and the Kraang takes over.

Follow them through their journey of grief, loss, comfort, and love as they navigate through life as a family :)

Note: this au will be going on for a few years, this is gonna be a big project with thought out plans, plot twists and everything in between. If you're willing to wait that is ! (Bare with us we are students 😥) We're planning for atleast 10 arcs give or take. Might end up less or more depending on how much MJ's imagination can go.

Do not push for updates. As MJ said: we are students. We have lives. This AU was created purely for fun, and we cannot focus on this always. Remember, we are minors.

This AU includes depictions of death and injury, as well as depictions of PTSD and many other disorders that come as a result of the apocalypse. There will be scenes important to the story that may trigger people. If you have concerns about this story that you think should be mentioned here, please let us know!

Hey, we are so sorry for the unmentioned hiatus! We really did not expect it to last this long or for us to be this busy but we are still thinking about this AU we promise! We haven't logged into this account in a while due to said hiatus and didn't see this ask so sorry for the late reply 💜🧡 We plan on continuing the comic, of course, but consider this our official announcement of the Hiatus due to exams and schoolwork.

Just to clarify again, this is not a good future AU. Pre-canon to the AU, this is some time after the apocalypse started.

The last panel absolutely kicked my ass while I was drawing it and I'm still not sure if this was good enough. I like it though, hope it's not going too fast. MJ is already done writing chapter 3 and I'm barely even getting started with chapter 1... I feel so slow even though I know art takes a long time to do XD

Hello Rottmnt AU community, I've finally finished the first four pages of the first chapter. This is my first time making a full blown comic so if anything is wrong, please do tell me in the comments. I'm not very in tune with the AU comic community as it is moreso MJ's department, the most exposure I've had with it is Danny Phantom comics. I really do hope this isn't going too fast—but again we aren't even 10% done with the first chapter haha. If you have any questions, ask away. -DJ

CJ feels out of place in the Hamato family, never truly feeling as one of their own. We go through multiple instances of him throughout the years not being able to see where he would fit in, and not allowing himself to do so as well.
