Three years ago we launched LoversRock Chats to discuss all things love and relationships from our own unique perspectives. Parenting life and demanding schedules put our LoversRock Chats series on hiatus. So when COVID-19 and quarantine lockdown took place in late March 2020, we decided it was a good opportunity to revive our series with a 6 week run (2 videos a week, one pre-recorded discussion, and one FB Live session). It was great to reconnect with our audience and bring back our LoversRock Chats which is a fan favorite! THANK YOU Asia Web Awards for selecting our series and this nomination! NEW YORK, NY (5/2/2019) Haitian-born Caribbean Rock/Groove Artist, Smax Music, joins Salli Squitieri and ONE® condom company as an artist ambassador to promote safe and healthy relationships. Smax Music is known as the inspirational artist delivering “music with a message,” and joining Salli Squitieri Productions’ Safe Sex Campaign with ONE® was a great collaborative opportunity to combine music, art, and expression while promoting the importance of safe sex practices and healthy relationships in creative ways. “Safety and prevention is the best policy when it comes to one’s health. Every decision shapes the direction of our lives, and so when mixing and mingling, having fun, and meeting others, it is critically important to play it safe to combat the spread of disease and engage in healthy and meaningful relationships,” says Smax Music.
Smax Music first started as an artist ambassador in November 2017 during the Caribbean Nights Series created by Salli Squitieri Productions at the Kraine Theater in NYC. The Caribbean Nights Series brought together artists from different Caribbean backgrounds to create a new forum enabling Caribbean (and neighboring) voices and music to be heard.
Salli Squitieri Productions’ Safe Sex Campaign launched with International Award-Winning Soca Artist, MaddZart, providing ONE® condoms to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Ministry of Health in 2017. The effort was implemented as part of the Ministry of Health’s campaign "Catch the Vibe Not the Virus." Salli Squitieri Productions’ Safe Sex Campaign currently has 14 ambassadors with ONE® condoms distributed in Liberia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Haiti and various regions in the USA.
The partnership between Salli Squitieri Productions and ONE® has now allowed Smax Music’s participation as an artist ambassador to expand in 2019 through custom branded ONE® condom tins. The custom design for Smax Music was created by MelimeL Digital Art Design and features Smax Music’s original song title “You Make Me Wanna.” Smax Music will be distributing ONE® Condoms during appropriate select shows and appearances and will be involved in various promotional opportunities on social media and more to share ONE® condoms message to “Have Fun, Be Safe, Be Protected.”
