Steve loved the time that he had in the city,
he loved the show, the people, the sights and the glee.
But as Christmas drew nearer, he thought to himself
"Surely there's no Christmas here
big enough for a guy like me."
As he packed his things to head home to Bristol,
New York gifted a lovely surprise.
There in the city, right in the middle,
was a Christmas tree just his size!
"New York, this is great!" he said to the town
"But I know this isn't for me.
You put this up every year,
it's the Rockefeller Center tree!"
"That's where your right Steve,
but that's where you're wrong!"
the city replied in a great loud song
"This tree is for you and this tree is for me!
Because Christmas is for all, be it tall or teeny!"
So Steve partied in the city and had a grand ball
And then boarded a plane across the sea.
He headed back home, but Steve will never forget
That wonderful city, and the tree standing so tall.
Merry Christmas from Stephen Merchant Stands Next to Things.
