I know that y’all are probably tired with the hearing about ExposingSMG (and before anyone says anything, yes, I am aware that this blog is supposedly run by two girls, but I’m just going to say “she”) and I am sorry for that (I am tired of it, too). I also know that when you feed fire with fire (or, in this case, pay attention to a hater) it won’t end well and they will only get more “famous” and “powerful” and that is not what I want.
But it has gotten to the point where they are pissing me off. I know that I shouldn’t let it get to me, seeing as how all of her posts have holes in them and they aren’t connected together well (and they’re obviously fake). But so many people believe her (hundreds of people do, if not thousands) and her blog is full of fakeness, lies, rumors, and attention-seeking ramblings.
Of course, she considers this not to be hating. She considers Selena merely a “topic” that she writes about. In reality, Selena is a human being, with feelings and she isn’t just a “topic”. Apparently, calling someone a “famewhore”, a “bitch”, a “slut”, etc. isn’t hating and it’s alright, because it’s true, according to exposingsmg. Whether or not it’s true (which it isn’t), it isn’t right. By calling someone a “bitch”, in my honest opinion, you’re being an anti-feminist, and I’m a feminist who doesn’t believe that that is okay. And I don’t believe in slut-shaming either, yet this person does that. And she’ll do practically anything in her power to hate on Selena (including calling two people she is believed to call her idols, such as Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber, names and making them seem like a bad friend/boyfriend, just to make Selena seem like the bad guy- which doesn’t make much sense to me, but, y’know, neither does running a hate blog, which she does too, so maybe I’m just missing something).
They say that what they post is merely the “truth” and nothing more. They say that they are indifferent or whatever toward Selena. I call that bull, though, because last time I checked, calling someone names (such as bitch, whore, slut, disgusting, etc.) is not nice and it is considered bullying and hate. So that already proves that this girl isn’t indifferent, BUT she also spends so much time talking about Selena, practically every single day, that it’s obvious that she does care about her. And the fact that she says that she doesn’t care proves that she is either a) delusional or b) lying, yet she calls Selena the delusional/lying one, and I find that kind of funny.
Anyways, to the point of which I wanted to make… We aren’t helping our case, nor our idols case. What we, as Selenators/Dreamers/fans of Selena, are doing is one of two things…
Ignoring the problem: Hoping, more like pretending, that the person will go away and stop feeding people with lies or
Hating on the account: Calling them the things that they call us and our inspiration, stooping down to their level.
News flash, I love y’all — this fandom is wonderful, it truly is! —, but this is not going to help us in any way, shape, or form. We need to find a way to not just be bystanders, who are a part of the problem, yet to not be haters, ourselves. And I think that I have found just the way to do it!
If any of you have ever watched Sherlock, you’ll know that all you have to do to get people to turn on someone else is to get one big truth (that everyone knows) and then wrap it up in big, fat, horrible lies that seem, somewhat, realistic. The truth hooks people in, it makes them curious. Then the lies seem so juicy that they are interesting. They aren’t just juicy, though… In the beginning, they seem realistic and, at least sort of, close to the truth. Then the accusations, overtime, get wilder and crazier, but because the truth was there at the beginning, people still believe the lies. Then the whole thing can start escalating. It especially helps when you get a crowd of haters to see your posts because it makes it just *that* much easier to be believed by numerous amounts of people. Then once you get enough haters to back you up, you can start attracting fans into the whole mess. Then the fans either get sucked into the massive black hole of lies or they start protesting. At first, the protesting might help themselves, their idol, and their case, but then it just feeds fuel to the main hater, the actual liar, and then that can lead to the fans hating because they are so outraged by the whole prospect. Once the fans start hating, though, the actual liar uses that against them and against their idol. Not only does it give them the energy and popularity that they need to spread these lies and to become well-known, but it also gives them more reasons and more ways/outlets to hate on the fans and the idol. So, in the end, the liar is the winner. BUT it does not have to be that way.
Instead of falling into the belief that exposingsmg is right or starting to stoop to the level of the person behind the blog, by hating, we should start doing two things.
Some people may call that cowardly, but I don’t believe it is. Being a coward is giving up and backing out of things. Sure, this may be backing out of trouble, but that is the correct thing to do, and it sure isn’t even close to giving up!
If enough of us have tumblr accounts, twitter accounts, ask.fm accounts, etc. then we can take exposingsmg down. If enough of us block them and report them for spam, hate, harassment, bullying, etc. then we can win this thing. This will give us the upper hand. And if enough of that happens, their accounts will be taken down and they won’t be able to use that same username/e-mail.
Sure, they might make a new account, but if we find it, we should do the same thing to it! And maybe, after a while, they will give up on being rude, on making up drama and lies and rumors, and on hating on us and our idol.

This, my fellow Selenators/Dreamers/fans, is not being cowardice. This is winning this thing, grabbing the upper hand, and being the better people.
By making blogs, ask.fm accounts, twitter accounts, etc. that prove that exposingsmg is wrong, we’ll also be winning.
It’ll show her that we aren’t going to just stand back and let our idol be hurt. It’ll show her that anyone can do what she does, if they want to (we just won’t throw around names/be prejudice- instead, we’ll just prove her posts/her wrong without hating nor being rude to anyone).
And anyone who believes in her lies that come across those posts will be able to see that exposingsmg is nothing more than a troll and that what says is lies and that she doesn’t have any facts/proof to back up her wild accusations.

So you can make a blog, or even just make a post, or numerous posts, to prove her wrong. And block and report all of the accounts that are here to “expose” Selena. And feel free to message ask.fm and tumblr (I don’t think that you can contact twitter about this) telling them about how these accounts are bullying, haters, and are posting spam/scam and they’re saying these things in a violent, hateful manner. (Tumblr sometimes takes these things very seriously and these blogs, especially exposingsmg, are doing numerous things that you aren’t supposed to do on tumblr: harrassment, spam, and malicious speech are the main ones- and then of course there’s bullying, hate, etc. which tumblr is not meant for).
So please, reblog this post. Like it. Share it wherever you want. This way, people will know how to keep that liar off of these websites! As long as they don’t give up, neither will we.
And we don’t have to stop with exposingsmg! We can do it to any other hater groups, anywhere. And so can fans with other idols!
